Gakic muscletech?? anyone know anything?
while ive been getting some results on my current routine... im really sick of it... i stick with creatine and whey and thats about it...
i just saw this "gakic" and while VERY expensive, i had some extra cash so i thought id give it a try.... i look at reviews of this (and any other product for that matter) and they are useless... everything is either 5 stars (best thing ever) or 1 star (i had heart troubles and breathing problems and it did nothing)
not just with this, but with almost all products... so that was no help.. i figured id ask around here.... ill give it a try and post results as well....
but this was manufactored at university of florida which has a very positive long time reputation of endorsing great supplements (i think they helped invent gatorade as well)
any thoughts ideas or suggestions? i just wanted a change so i thought id give this newer product a shot

What is it exactly? Is it a mix of creatine and dextrose or something?
Edit: I don't know, man. I'm looking at the site, and I'm always skeptical of a company that won't just come out and say what's in their product, only what isn't in it (creatine). The closest they'll come to disclosure is saying that "glycine-l-arginine-alpha-ketoisocaproic acid calcium" is the key ingredient that drives its chemical process. Sounds like kooky doubletalk.
And they're making some crazy promises. Instant and noticeable strength gains, as soon as you take it? Hmmm.

it was an impulse buy when i was out... i did some more digging and im just gonna return it....
the main thing that sold me on the spot was that U of F developed it, which is pretty much the main research center for this type of stuff... but in all reality since i already take noxcg3 seems like im better off taking that 100 bucks and getting lots of good food for awhile instead....
but yea, id say between the 2 of us if we dont even understand what the product is or what it does then either its totally brand knew and groundbreaking... or more likely crap lol

I watched a video that supposedly explained what it was doing to your muscles, and it seems to boil down to balancing the acid build-up. You can accomplish that through any alkaline substances, like spinach, lemon juice, MSM, etc. Both Randy Couture and crazy Luke Cummo base their nutrition around the same acid / alkaline concept.

Maybe you need to just switch up your routine. I'm starting week four of a six week plan where all I'm doing is building muscle and going for strength gains. I'm actually burning a decent amount of fat only doing a little cardio a week (one session of tabata sprints on Wednesday, and a one-hour uphill walk on the treadmill on Friday), and I'm getting bigger for sure. In three weeks I'm going to go on an insane cardio blitz and just try to burn the outer layer off these new muscles, and then go back to my usual crossfit-style workouts.

yea most likely... i am on a good cardio (distance and sprint) kick now... the weights are still there, but ive added in a ton of that... traditionally april to june i start to get in great shape every year as it gets warm and nice out... then in the winter i get bulky and fat... i started a little earlier this year with the cardio so hopefully it pays dividends...
but as for the supplements, i guess anything "new" peaks my interests... like when creatine first came out... but so much of it is just ripping people off so who konws

i am going to try Gakic oneday, but before i do i am going to be dead certain as to how much i can lift by continuing to record everything i do in my training log. its the only way to be sure that your getting a good value. i don't want to just think i was 10% stronger, i want to know for sure. of course this means testing for one rep maxes and alot of other BS i am not fond of but at some point i feel it could be rewarding. i am currently taking something called "amino Shooter" by Champion Nutrition, another product that makes bold claims. in this case i got an incredible testimonial from a trainer that i trust very much and bought some. i have finally cracked the 200lb. mark in my bodyweight while maintaining a desirable body fat percentage. is it the supps or hard work? i am not going to mess around with what has been working.

My buddy swears by the stuff. He takes the Gakic, Creakic, and Leukic stack...he says that he has to force himself to stop exercising...that he just doesn't fatigue. BuildingBrawn.com has the stuff pretty reasonably priced too...at least the last time I checked it was.

To break it down simply, 80% of the **** you buy at GNC or OTC is ****, other then the supplements and certain protein's i wouldn't waste your money.

Stick to the basics, creatine, multi-vitamin, and whey protein. That's all ya need. Steer clear of anything Muscletech, it's all overpriced hype.

Agree 100%, most of that **** is a waste of money.
Has nothing in it that you can't get from real foods which IMO are the best way to get things.
