Spider-Man 3 (Possible spoilers within)
Has anyone gone to see it yet? I'm going to the 9:30 showing tonight hopefully I'll be able to get a brief review out by today or tomorrow.

I'm probably going to wait until some of the hype goes down, but I'm excited to see it!

I actually got to see it Wednesday. My friends friend owns a movie theater and I saw it about 2 hours after they got it in at 12.
If you like the previous spiderman movies you will enjoy this one. The acting could really use some help is some scenes lol. During his entire 'walk' part you will be thinking WTF. Besides those little things the movie delivered like I thought it would. The two main enemies were great, they did an amazing job on them. So I would say if you liked the previous spidermans go to it, if you did not like them skip it.

I thought it was a great movie. I agree that the acting was a little "off" at points, but you have to remember the director, Sam Rami, also did Evil Dead so I'm sure it was meant to be like that. And the walking scene was odd but they had to show his cockey side somehow. I think it fit with the comics quite well. I walked into the theater thinking that Venom was going to be ok. I left thinking he was perfect. I don't think they could have done a better job on him. I'd recommend this movie to everyone. The DVD should be awsome but unless you have a 60" screen at home, see it at the theater. It's worth it.

I didnt like it. My kids forced me into taking them last night. It dragged way too long and was just so predictable. And they focussed way to much on the EMO side of MJ and Peter.
I did like though when Spiderman turned evil for a while. That was cool.

I personally dont think it is as good as the second but it was ok. They made him look evil by giving him an emo hairstyle, I dont get. The ending was good but so predictable, I would give it 8.5/10 because the action scenes were good but it could of been better.

I have seen it twice now. I will see it many more times. I loved it. It was far better than the second and right up there with the first. Predictable? It was a comic book. Everybody knows what to expect. But, this movie went beyond mere expectations. I could not get enough. Two hours and twenty minutes was too short for me. I loved it.
The theme of redemption was the central idea in the movie. Redemption for the Sandman, Hobgoblin, and Spider-man. It worked well for me. I was really happy to see Harry and Peter fighting together. And, the Eddie Brock and Venom characters were perfect.
They underplayed the Gwen Stacey role. I suspect we will see a fourth Spider-man film. They left a lot open for future films. Dr. Conners becomes The Lizard, and that would be a good villian for a sequel.

I thought that about Dr. Connors as well. I just can see them putting a giant lizard in a movie like that. I don't think it would be very believable, even for a comic book movie. I would like to see Venom return somehow and even add Carnage into the mix.
I couldn't believe that it was 2hr20m. When the movie was finished I looked at my watch and was quite suprised. I thought it was your typical 1hr30m movie.
I agree the hair part was cheezey, but it did make sense. Just in a geeky kind of way.
If I had the cash I would keep going back to see it. But unfortunately I don't so I'll just have to download it untill I can buy the DVD. I hope they add a bunch of stuff to the DVD.

I think that they set up both the Lizard and Man-Wolf in the last two films. They introduced both Dr. Conners (Lizard) and John Jameson (Man-Wolf) in the Spider-man 2.
In Spider-Man 2, John Jameson is Mary Jane Watson's fiance. Mary Jane later realized that she did not truly love John and left him at the altar for Peter Parker. The movie includes multiple references to the comic book story arc where John Jameson becomes Man-Wolf. Jameson wears the same medallion that in the comics turned him into Man-Wolf, and he is portrayed next to a full moon in another scene.
So, it might be that Spider-man 4 will have super-human animal motif villains and heros like Man-Wolf, Lizard, The Scorpion, and of course Spider-man. There are other villains they could bring in as well. What I liked about Spider-man 3 was how they brought so many super-powered characters into one film and made it work so well.

That is too bad, because it will surely be among the best films of 2007.

It's all subjective. There are a lot of films that everybody seems to love that I just cannot stand.

I loved the first Spider-Man and I thought the second one was decent, but this one was just horrid to me. I love Sam Raimi, but this movie was just way too long. If they could have just focused more on the "evil" peter and venom it wouldn't have seemed so jumbled. The acting was pretty horrible as well. I'm not one to bash movies either.
