You know you live in air-head California, when the major headlines on EVERY northern California news-station including the bay area is the following:
Two whales freakin swam from the pacific ocean and into the delta, then trekked the 100 or so miles through the delta and into the deep water channel in Sacramento and are now stuck cause there's no where to go.
So what you ask?
That So What is because freakin dumbass Californians think it's just "so cute" that two stupid whales swam that far inland bascially and now every tree hugging idiot thinks that story is more important than the two attempted kidnappings and two shootings that occured the last 24 hours in Sacramento and God knows the Bay.
This stupid story has occupied all 4 day and night evening broadcasts all over Northern CA and the Bay Area and I say?
WTF is this world coming to when freakin whales are the goddamn news????????

Sorry I'm more interested in the whales than random 'it could be you next' kidnapping stories. Crime is going down, Extinction is going up. Nature is nice, other people not so much = whales get my sympathy.

Ok, I'll lighten up on the Whales, but Whales almost caused extinction of Humans in the movie Star Trek IV and almost killed Chekov in that movie

what would you rather see on the TV? more violent crime being reported or something out of the ordinary, such as whales in a river? i hate picking up the paper and reading about the latest murder, mostly because i know its not the last one thats going to happen.

Well white people once held dominion over blacks in a lot of parts of the world, does that mean white people are more important? Humanity is a disease that's destroying the world, so far we have done nothing positive at all for any living organism other than ourselves, and yet we are more cruel to each other than any living thing could ever be. At least animals have themselves secured into the circle of life and are promoting the continuation of our evolving planet.
The reason the whale gets so much attention, like people have said before is because people get killed every day, wheras whales rarely swim that far inland.
I wouldn't go out of my way to hurt anyone, because then I'd get in trouble. But basically there are too many people, stealing my space. Animals are good because they know their place. People are uppity and get in my way. Not the individuals I know, theres enough space in the world for the people I like and some more. But not too many more.

The whales saved the day. Everyone would have died if they didn't bring back the whales. It was the humans who caused the extinction of the whales, which is why they had to go back and get them.
