Angry Laid Off

Got the news today that the state and federal government no longer thinks that a community program to help the elderly afford prescription medicine, the poor to rebuild thier homes, and young mothers getting job training and a future career to help thier children is needed.

Not going to have a job as of September 22nd. It really pisses me off to see assclowns like george w bush piss on everything that america should stand for. **** him. and **** Rick Perry too for cutting state funds to the point of 'lazzise-faire'.

I just had to get that off my chest before having to go act all cherry with everyone else in the office, they havent gotten the news yet and I dont want to be the one who has to break it to them.

getting laid off sucks, especially since you worked in a position that helped people who need it.

Sorry to hear about it. Hope you will find a new work that makes you happy.
In Germany here is a safety net that helps most citizens - I think it helps everybody, they just need to take the help that is offered.

The only thing that makes me upset is this is the second job in 3 years that I have been laid off from.

i've been at the same job for 6 years now and while the security is great sometimes i wish they'd give me the boot just so i can move on and experience something new. still getting laid off would'nt be on my list of things to do today.

I beleive it would be the states fault for cutting back state funding for certain programs, but im not sure.. Everyone is so quick to blame bush it is sickening.

I am sorry for you but good luck in a job search and best wishes.

The funds were cut at a federal level. Had nothing to do with the state, belive it or not.
