Michael Moore's Sicko
Just seen this movie, its about the healthcare system in the US, and despite a movie been done by a lefty its some pretty serious ****! Am feeling depressed after seeing it.
Anyway its good for an eye opener to see what our mates across the pond have to deal with, worth a look.

I have not seen it. But from experience, watching anything by Michael Moore is bound to make you depressed. That's one of the reasons i always watch it high. The other is so it can blow my mind on more levels.

We don't have to deal with that. It's Micheal Moore. Watch Farenhype 9/11 for all you need to know about this lying hypocrite.

Moore screwed up in this film. He went to Cuba. And, he's under investigation. The guy started out with the right idea. Chase after the people that are closing down factories and moving to other countries like with Flint, Michigan in Roger and Me. Bowling for Columbine showed how people can easily get guns. Some of that is scary.
But, F/911 was the point where he went really seriously wrong. That film is littered with lies and untruths and perverted truths.
Fifty-nine Deceits in Fahrenheit 911, Dave Kopel, Independence Institute
I have not yet seen Sicko. It might be truthful. But, after F/911, I just do not trust Moore.

I haven't seen the movie, but I do know the state of healthcare in this country is a crime. The fact that there are people in this country who don't get adequate health care or have no insurance and can't get health care without paying through the nose is really a problem. Just cause Moore does a film about it, doesn't mean it is all lies and there is no problem. Glad to see someone actually point it out.

I love Big Business, Fahrenheit 911 and Bowling for Columbine. I guess I wouldn't like them as much if I were American but I definitely wouldn't call his work "BS".

What he forgot to mention was the guns used in columbine was the guns used were already illegal. Further proving the point that gun laws only benefit the law abiding citizens, and attacks only happen at "gun free" zones.
Michael Moore is so biased it isn't funny, so whatever movie he comes out with I will never watch, because his past is so deceiving why should I suddenly think he is being truthful or unbiased?

Moore doing a story on HealthCare in the U.S. looking like he does is almost as bad as a porn star doing the invocation at a Dinner.

This will be moved to streetfight sooner or later. LOL
I remember watching his Fahrenheit movie in school. Everybody was commenting on how dramatic it is, how things need to be changed.
You should they have seen the looks on their faces as I said "I don't understand how we can comment on America. 95% of us have never been there. We are only expressing a view the media formed" .... the teacher was mad at me.

Well ive seen the other movies and this one has less of an agenda feel, the stories in it are real, and it made an impact on me because it showed normal people like ourselves having to go to canada and cuba to get treatment because they cant afford it the US, which to me being from the UK, is damn bizarre, as somebody put it in the movie, if we had to deal with the crap you do in the US there would be a revolution.
Anyway am no fan of Moore's work either, and in team america they got it right with 'fat socialist weasel' but.... this movie is certainly different just for the human aspect of the story and that is why I recommended that you guys take a look.

Anyone who has ever gotten very ill or had to go to the emergency room in the USA can tell you that our system is totally ****ed up and 90% of you are still paying off doctors bills this very second.

You guys are too hard on old Mikey. He may exagerate or take things out of context occasionally, but the basis of all his movies have truth to them. And you gotta remember, he's trying to get a point across, which he does very well. Maybe its time to turn off blind patriotism and actually listen to what he is saying.

If there were fewer fatboys like Mikey, the system wouldnt be so screwed up with all the ones insured subsidizing lardasses like him driving up costs and clogging the system up just because he doesen't want to put the doughnuts down!

I don't know man. I had to pay $1200 dollars for TWO stitches in my thumb. After a 3 goddamn hour wait in the ER while I am gushing blood (cut it down to the bone) the doctor finally gets to me. I was a jerk and finally got their attention when I made it squirt right where a nurse was walking. They kept letting old people in who got in before me and were complaining about BACK PAIN and TOOTHACHES I kid you not.. all because they had insurance.
In the meantime, I didnt get fixed up in time and now have permanent nerve damage in my left thumb. I could slam it in a car door, set it on fire, run over it with a steam locomotive..nothing.
Being uninsured or underinsured basically means you are last on the list.. you could have a heart attack.. tell them your uninsured.. and out you go. No, not out to the Operating Room, but rather out to heaven/hell/reincarnation/absolutenothingness.
