RIP Robert Jordan
For those of you who follow fantasy and have read his series you know how great his books are.
Even if you are not a fan you have to respect someone who has managed to write 12 books (it is reported that he worked with his wife and left implicit instruction on how to finish the series). All of them several hundred pages long.
Here is a link to how he passed:

Ya, he's had a pretty rare illness for sometime now. It was affecting his heart. It's pretty sad that he passed away without being able to finish his series. I hope his wife is going to be able to finish the Wheel of Time series because there are millions of people that have read every book.

Oh my God!! His last two books were just rehashes of the series. I was hoping he would put another one out soon. This is horrible news. Probably some of the best fantasy books I ever read and I have read alot.

Have you guys read Terry Goodkind, David Eddings, or George R. R. Martin?

I am reworking through Martins first series now. About half way through a "Feast for Crows". I like them but found Jordans books easier to get into. I tried a few of Goodkinds books but couldn't get into them, he seemed to be a reporter reporting facts to me with no attatchments to charactors. It was very wierd. Eddings I am not sure give me a title or two, I read alot of books so get them mixed up.

A great single book to read from Eddings is "The Redemtion of Athalas". Its just one book and its actually got a good mix of humor in it. Eddings writing style is real enjoyable to read. I think you'll like that book. I might have spelled the name wrong but its real close to that.
