Default UK - Setanta Sports

For people who have purchased UFC 75 with from Setanta yo uhave to pay £30 not only £10.

Theres a £10 connection fee, then a 2 month contract (1 for the month you purchased the PPV and another month for the cancellation)

I will never use Setanta, ever

I didnt get a connection fee?

I signed up to watch UFC75 and was told that Id be charged for 2 months as you could only cancel AFTER the first month is up, but nothing about a connection fee? Ive only had the £9.99 taken from my account too.

Still a scam tho imo.

I wish they'd stick the UFC PPVs back on the PPV channel or Box Office. Setanta is possibly the worst channel I have. But until UFC decide to show their UK shows somewhere else Im stuck using them.

I sent this email to them before the event

Quote:
Hi, I have a question, UFC 75 is coming so is it possible to spend £9.99 for
a months subscription then cancel it after the event so thats all i pay or
would I need to pay more because I only had it a month?

Or is it possible to just pay for the PPV itself without subscribing to the
channel?
The reply about 2 weeks after the event
Quote:
Dear Mr Norminton

Thank you for your email and please accept my apologies for the delay in
response.

I can confirm that there is a minimum subscription period of 2 months with
Setanta Sports.

This is because we require 30 days cancellation notice from all customers which
cannot be given within your initial active 30 days.

Setanta Sports is £9.99 per month and there is a £10 connection fee payable with
the first month.

If further information or assistance is required, please contact our Customer
Services team on the number below. Our lines are open from 8.00 am to midnight,
seven days a week.

Yours sincerely

Nadine Miyasar

Strange! It says the £10 connection fee is payable with the first month's payment, but Ive just re-checked my online statement and have definately only been charged £9.99! They better not try and charge me an extra tenner when I cancel lol!
