Default 7 acres and a new house for $100,000

I'm finally looking to be a homeowner. I've just been waiting for the right time and right person. Looks like that time maybe soon. I have my eye on a nice 7 acre parcel with a mix of woods and a meadow. I don't want a big house and have been spending some time looking at this site. Seems i might be able to secure a home and land for about $100,000 not including all the other expenses that come with this type of project.

I have always been a big fan of owning lots of land. As long as you have all of the necessities in your home (a TV with the ability to get PPV) the rest is all materialism. Good Luck Bro!

LOL. Yup, I don't think that us in the "O.C." can relate. My condo is 2 bdrm, 1350 sq. ft. and was 300k nearly five years ago.

Seven acres is a wet dream for me. Seven acres in Orange County would easily be $7M without a house on it

there is still alot of cheap land available in the US. You just have to avoid the heavily populated areas and do some shopping around.

That's a great deal Crashti and you're gonna love having that m uch land.

My sister and brother in law and I recently bought 4.5 acres with 2 houses and two small office type buildings on it for 850k and found that a great deal and it was for this area.

We're trying to build a family/business compound/ranch thing and it's awesome. There's nothing better than owning land you can pretty much do whatever you want with.

And so far it's been outstanding for family get togethers. The holidays should be awesome. Lots of room.

good luck. I hope it works out for you.

I have a 3 1/2 bedroom 2200 sq. ft house which we paid about 120k 4 years ago for. Houston has lots of land so the housing market is rather cheap.

10 year old house, 1450 living, 3 bed 2 bath $120,000 and on less than one acre of land. That sounds like a good deal. Looks pretty peaceful.

That would be a nice deal. I cant even get an acre in my neck of the woods for less than $40,000. And you got 7!! That is super.

i have'nt got it yet. We're looking into it. Luckily if we can't get this one there are other similar lots available in the same price range. This one just happens to look just right and is still close to town.

Oh yes, Canadian land. i have seen the ads for cheap land up North. You can gets 100's of acres for next to nothing. very tempting but not very economical seeing how i live in the US.

The land i am looking at is in Western Massachusetts. The land i've looked at in Canada is up where you bought yours. basically i don't need 100 acres and will do well with 7.
