Audi TT or Lexus IS 300
Help me please .
I need to buy a new car. And I can't choose from the Audi TT and Lexus IS 300. They are the same ranged price for the 2000-2002. Anyone have one or good review about it?
For now what I have read. The IS 300 is better for the quality.

I don't know about quality man, but I think the Lexus is a car for pretentious people....So go with the Audi.
Also, if anyone drives a Hummer please leave the forum.

Lexus is just a marque brand of Toyota.. will be much easier to have repaired. Audi is owned by Volkswagen but its harder at least in Texas to find someone who works on Euro cars.. Japanese cars seem to have more mechanics.
I say just buy a new car for the price of what these go for used and be done with it.. don't be a blind consumerist who only cares about the fancy imprint name *rant over*

I have always been a huge fan of the TT but both are definitely nice. Are both fully loaded?

I have loved the TT since it was first released, I would jump at the chance to buy one.

Lexus. The up keep might be easier if audi dealerships are not abundant. Lexus has a good road record and I have worked a lot of crashes on Lexus and they come out pretty good most of the time.

Neither - get a 3 series bimmer! Audi had reliability problems that were just getting worked out back then. It's going to cost you more in maintenance. The IS 300 from the time you are looking at was still pretty much a Toyota Alteeza. It's come a long way but, IMO, the older IS's were nothing special. Check roadfly out and read the forums. I was looking at the 02 IS 300's back when I bought my 02 325. Once I went and drove the BMW, it was a no brainer, especially with the maintenance package.

What's that? The Alteeza? I've actually seen a few Lexi with the Alteeza grill and badging here in the US. Over in the UK I know the IS 300 of that time frame was an IS 200, waaaaaaay underpowered in 2.0L trim, IMO.

The 3 series was car and drivers top ten for like 15 consecutive years or something...it is certainly a great choice...or if a backseat isn't needed, a nice Z3 or Z4 (Z4M in particular ) would be a step in the right direction

I've got a 2002 Audi TT Roadster and I love it. The 4 wheel drive gives so much grip round corners and is awesome. I've got the 1.8 225 bhp version and I've not had any reliability problems. It performs really well - 0-60 in 6.2 secs and the fastest I've driven it is 147mph. I think the 3.2 V6 version with DSG is supposed to be the best TT but was slightly outside my price range. I tried both versions and there wasn't a huge difference apart from the amazing gearbox on the V6. I don't know about the Lexus as I haven't driven one.
