Boring, stupid, and doesn't make any sense. It was one of the worst movies I saw in '07. I don't want to spoil the movie for those who might not have seen it but I would strongly suggest not watching it.

I'm not surprised, I think Premonition was another one of those remakes of a Japanese horror movie. But speaking of crappy remakes of Japanese horror movies....
The Eye - What a terrible, humongous, crapfest this movie was. I can't say any more about it. The reason I say that is because there aren't any words in the English language that even come close to describing how bad this movie is.

Had some cool moments, a few decent fight scenes but overall it dragged and the ending was borderline terrible.

Totally. The orig 'The Eye' from Hong Kong was great. I don't even attempt to make western remakes because they always suck donkey kongs dong.

Really? I kinda liked it. Of course, I tend to like Ryan Phillipe ever since The Way of the Gun.

While we're on the subject of bad movies.... It's been awhile now but I saw this one movie called "The Item" and I can honestly it was the worst movie I have ever seen. Imo it could match that -17/10.

green street hooligans
an intense look into the lives of members in firms of english football teams. you really get a sense of the pride and love that they have for their team and their mates, yet the exhiliration of the violence is shown to really be outweighed by the inevitable devastating consequences of it. there was some great moments and the relationship formed between elijah wood and charlie hunnam was excellent to watch. the ending was real yet still comforting

American Gangster - 8/10
Not the groundbreaking film a lot of people made it out to be imo, but pretty damn good nonetheless.

Yeah, Green Street Hooligans was pretty good.
Do you like Alan Clarke films? I particulary liked Scum & Made In Britain. Also saw The Firm and Elephant. Good stuff.
And yes, you're right. I did enjoy This is England.
Happy Birthday Smell.
As far as ID, I heard that was the best one...couldn't find it in the states when I looked for it.

Ive only seen Scum, but yeah that was very good. Im sure I saw The Firm years ago but cant really remember much about it. I'll keep an eye out for that and Elephant if you think they're worth watching!
Glad you enjoyed This is England...wasnt sure how it would be received by a non-Brit lol. It recently won Best British Film at the Baftas, beating Atonement!

Elephant is very short film - actually it's a killing spree in Northern Ireland...about 45 minutes worth. Pretty disturbing stuff.
Here's the first part
YouTube - Alan Clarke's 'Elephant' (1/4)
Why is it whenever I hear 'Baftas' I think of Andy Millman and Ronnie Corbett?
