the interpreter
it did a good job of maintaing a certain level of tension and keeping me interested throughout most of the movie without really very much happening. the ending was supposed to be really powerful but i just found it a bit average

Grindhouse Presents: Deathproof.
9/10 This movie was great. Tarantino writes the best dialog in his movies. Very entertaining with a great ending.

Absolutely loved this movie. The intertwining of the love story that spans 3 millenia was beautiful, and the visual effects of the future scenes were dazzling. Painfully, impossibly sad as well.

I hated that movie. It was boring. I guess I was expecting more out of it.

Now that is a movie that blew. I was surprised I made it through the whole movie without hanging myself. Speaking of movies that the wife picked,
Fool's Gold 6/10
It was entertaining and it didn't just absolutely suck. I owed the wife cause I took her to see Eastern Promises which she hated, so she chose that.

Beowulf ----- 9/10
Just like the book. The last two beowulf films did not match the book's storyline.
Dragon Wars ----- 7/10
Not bad, it's like Star Wars meet Jurrasic Park.

Rocky Balboa- Possibly the most well written of the Rocky movies even if the storyline is somewhat farfetched. But hey, this is Rocky after all. 8/10

die hard 4.0
everything youd expect from a die hard movie and far more than what you might expect from one that seems to be far too long a time after the original was released. the action scenes are exciting and inventive and the banter between bruce willis and justin long is hilarious throughout

harsh times
this is gonna be tough seeing as how much i love christian bale but this was a large disappointment. the excessive swearing and street talk dominates the movie, almost replaceing the plot. not a lot happens for most of the movie though there are a few tense moments and funny scenes. bale's descent into madness isnt really explained and there arent any causes for it to grow worse. in fact it doesnt, he stays the same the entire movie and then snaps at the end without any real provocation. even though i didnt think it was great there are a few interesting characters and some extremely visceral scenes
6/10
