Default Tim Russert Passes

I was just catching up on some of the political (MTKrav vs all of FF) threads and was surprised no one has mentioned this.

Tim Russert passed away today at only 58 years of age.

While I never watched 'Meet the Press,' I always had a tremendous amount of respect for Tim Russert.
I believe he did an exceptional job as host of the presidential debates and was really looking forward to seeing him this fall.
Sadly, I cannot think of another news anchor that can fill his shoes.

He was a good political moderator. I liked Meet The Press. He was a good political mind, even though I disagreed with him, h e was objective. He'll be sorely missed.

And LOL @ Krav vs the rest of FF politically. I'm nto VS them, I just share a counter view. I hop that's alright. I totally respect everyone's view, just hold an opposing one.

UNLESS

I am convinced otherwise. That's the purpose of debate.

I found it refreshing last night, that all the major networks, both liberal and conservative, had all night tribute shows to Tim Russert.

In fact, Liberal media commentators were guests on conservative shows all night, and vice versa.

They all liked Tim Russert. Regardles of political ideology? Everyone in the media last night "Got Along".

Which is refreshign in an election year. I hope that type of civility is maintained during the general election cycle.

RIP Russert, Your colleagues made you proud last night.

Sorry, I forgot Opsy is generally on your side as well.

Charlie Rose did a very nice tribute Friday. Showcased Tim's personal life more than his professional.
