Ok, first off. I hate answering the telephone. I don't call it screening, I call it, I hate talking on the phone. I have a cell phone and only people I know need it have it (wife, kids etc), so there I'll talk. Briefly.
Well, the last week, these different groups (telemarketers) have basically gone as far as to tell my kids and wife that they have to by law allow me to talk on the phone.
My wife said last night: "Who's this?" and the telemarketer goes "It's not your business, we're looking for Mr. so and so" and she says "It is my business, he's my husband and he hates talking on the phone so goodbye." Then the jackass goes "Tell your husband that by new laws in 2008, he'll be required to deny on the phone personally that he doesent want to talk on the phone"
To which I then star 69'd the call and told the telemarketer to go #(@#* himself!
Anyone else have this crap happen to them? Telemarketers actually saying that YOU legally have to be the one to deny the call and not your kids, wife, etc.!
