I needed a few beers after todays work. So I go to this new looking Liquor Store and it's really nice inside and owned by some Latvian dude or something.

So Anyway, I get the cheap ghetto beer cause It's what buzzes me best, and I always get at least one can of expensive beer usually Heineken.

Then the guy charges the cheap beer easily and hasnt entered the 20 oz expensive Heineken yet into the cash register computer because it's a new store. So he charges me $2.89 for the Heineken, about what I expected. But.

Then a dude comes out the back (The Latvian Owner) and says... No no no, we don't have a price yet on that beer in the computer, so give him for free.

I was insistent, no no no, but the owner said...."No I want every purchase in the cash register computer perfect so I can calculate accurate numbers on my new store at the end of the month. Since I don't know yet what to charge for the Heineken, it's yours. Thanks for coming to my store."

I was all WTF? Cause I've been to plenty of nice liquor stores with cool owners, but never one where they gave you the expensive stuff for free!

Moral is????

Never turn down good piss for free!

Good deal. Can't complain about free stuff, especially when it's the good stuff. I was getting wine a week back and when i went up to the register the owners were like "You should get this instead. It's a much better blend. That stuff just has better advertising and a better label(Yellowtail)". This stuff was the same price so they weren't trying to screw me. I said sure why not, and they gave me the bottle for free. I am not a big fan of red wine, especially Yellowtail. It's what my gf drinks. But this stuff was amazing in comparison. And we will go out of our way to go back there now. Moral of the story, free alcohol equals best friends forever.

LOL. Precisely what I was saying. And a nice guy too for an owner. Seemed like a legit guy who wants to run a clean store. Usually liquor stores in The US even in good neighborhoods are ****holes unless the mafia owns them.

Oh no. Wait. Dude is Latvian, I hope he's not part of the Russian Mob or something.

Now I owe the mob a 2.89 free Heineken and with their interest rates, that'll be 289,000 by next week!

LOL, yeah, but I'm not a greedy dude. Something about my formative years as a teenager working late nights at KFC made me appreciate things more as they come.

when i worked at pizza hut we had a guy that came in once a week about a half hour before closing with a case of beer. we always gave him a free pizza in trade for the beer, but he always told us the beer is a tip. let me pay for the pizza. the whole time i worked there he came in once a week.

fast forward 3 years, i'm a manager at valvoline instant oil change. same guy comes in for an oil change... he sees me and says "pizza hut guy..." he came back every 3k miles for an oil change and each time he brought a case of beer.
(we didn't drink till we were closed)
really cool guy.

Damn straight. Now if they can find a way to genetically enhance it so we don't get the beer bulge, cause its a bitch trying to workout the beer buldge off 3-4 times a week.

A similar but less awesome thing happened to me. I was buying a Coke Blak and it rang up at 1.19 after tax(CANADIAN $) and it should have been 1.99 plus tax. The conversation went something like:

"This isn't supposed to be 1.19..."
"What?"
"This is underpriced. It should be 1.99."
"If the computer says 1.19, it's 1.19."
"But I'm telling you, this isn't 1.19."
"It is now!"
"Okay, then, I'll take two."

Would have bought more if I could, that Coffee and Coke mixture was great at first. Now I can't stand the stuff.

i bought a 4 pack of redbull once and it somehow scanned the bar code off one can. so i got it for $2 or what ever one can cost.
i didn't notice till i got home, i always check my receipt at this store cause the people always make a mistake and charge me too much. this time got 3 free cans of redbull.

Lot's of interesting stuff here but one thing jumped out at me more than anything else. What on earth makes you think Heineken is the good stuff Krav, lol. You've been drinking the St. Ides and such too long. It's affecting your judgment.
