    Default Mark Kerr?

I know Mark fought back in 2004 and all, but does anyone know if he will make a return to the ring? I personally hope so. To go out on a loss like that could haunt a guy for the rest of his life.

i really like Mark Kerr as well and would also like to see him back in the ring. however the competition today is tougher than ever. Mark is also a real bag of mental instability. maybe if he ditched that girl he was with? i'm guessing we will never know.

Yeah, I hear you. I also think she was a lot of his trouble. When she wasn't causing him grief...he was bad to the bone. But, when she was, he was all out of sorts. I think he has tools to still effectively compete, but if he's going to...he needs to get going. He's not exactly at the start of his career.

I'd also love to see Kerr come back. He had a good future ahead of him and then the drugs and that crazy bitch he was with screwed him up in a big way. I haven't heard any word on a comeback but I would support him all the way.

Mark Kerr is a superb wrestler, i think he was ranked number 1 in the country at one point. amazing takedown skills, scary power, brutal ground and pound. not too much in the way of technique and his striking skills were a bit lacking. he was smart enough to work on them with Bas Rutten. trained alot with Mark Coleman, who is alot stronger in the mental stability department.

yes, it would seem that Kerr is very much washed up. the road comes to an end for every fighter. some reach it sooner than they maybe should have.

Yeah, I have one for you. It's on the Abu Dhabi site. Check out the tournament results for 99 and 2000. Mark was a great fighter at one time for a long time. He's beaten several great fighters from around the world. You got to remember, the UFC and PRIDE are only a couple of the MMA events he has fought in. Mark's won Vale Tudo and Abu Dhabi without loss. Check out the fighters listed...there are some very good fighters in there. Ricco Rodriguez was one of his many victims. He's beaten Mario Sperry too, in the Abu Dhabi 2001 Super Fight. Mario Sperry is an Awesome fighter! I wish Mark could've stayed clean of the pain killers and that woman. Because, once all that started happening...it was all down hill. He could have been one of the very best for sure.http://www.adcombat.net/adnet/Wrestl...s=O99&Level=1&

Kerr is the definition of a gentle giant. If you saw the guy outside of the ring I bet he is the nicest guy ever. He wasn't a cocky trash talker and he never held grudges but he was so brutal in the ring. It seemed from the documentary that his downfall was drugs (obviously) but also the loss to Igor. I could be wrong though, it's been quite some time since I've seen that. I don't think Mark deserves to be called washed up and names like "steiroid freak" he was a great fighter and had his problems just like everyone else in the world. Just like someone already said he had mental instability and that can be a very tough thing to deal with.

Yeah, very well put. Mark Kerr has a world of talent. The problems he had just show that he is human just like the rest of us. I do hope he at least fights once more. Going out on a self knock-out is no way to end a career. Unless, Mark is medically unable to safely compete. He's won a lot of big events outside of PRIDE and the UFC too. Abu Dhabi and Vale Tudo for example. Just ask Mario Sperry and Ricco Rodriguez. I'd love to see him pull it all together for one more great fight.
