Liddell fought as the UFC representative in the 2003 Middleweight Tournament and got to the semi-finals. If you have Fox Sports, PRIDE is on Sundays at 10CST, and replays of the show run all week. Try to catch it this week, they feature Chuck Liddell vs Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson.

Anyone who hasn't ever seen Pride. I always tell them to watch Total Elimination 2004. That was one of the most mind blowing events I have ever seen. Even though you may not know many of the fighters, if you have been into UFC for a while you may recognize Coleman, Randleman, and Semmy Schilt. Watch this as soon as possible you won't be disappointed.

The only problem with Total Elimination 2004 is that Crocop losses against that freakish/fluke KO by Randleman.
Anyway Michelle, you'll love Pride. It's not too much different than UFC. They are a little quicker on stnading up their fighters using a yellow card system. They allow kicks to a downed fighter. They have had a couple UFC reps in Pride so far. Chuck Liddell competed in the Middleweight GP in 2003 like Aika said. Vitor Belfort competed in the 2005 Middleweight GP this year and Yves Edwards and Josh Thompson fought in Pride: Bushidos 7 and 8. I think you'll like it.
Pride is a more deeper talent pool with a lot of international fighters. UFC tends to have at least 80% of US fighters. Some people say Pride is better but it's a close match up. You can make that call if you want.
But anyways have fun watching it.

Yes while I was devestated to see the man go down like that, it still was amazing. My jaw was practically to the ground. One of the most solid shots I have ever seen.

Crocop underestimated his opponent happens all the time for example Chuck vs. Randy II, Chonan vs. Baroni, Crocop vs. Nogeria, Nastula vs. Nogeria, Horn vs. Chuck II (you don't stand up with chuck unless you can bring it) Josh Thomson vs. Aleksander Emelianenko, Joachim Hansen vs. Masakazu Imanari (one of the worst knees I've ever seen to the face the guy went for the same move like 15 times he fought him like he was a punk and paid the price)
All those fights above are some examples of fighters getting in the ring think ok the fights gonna go like this and its in the bag you should get in there and go with the flow and work form there don't say my opponent is weak I'll do this and win quick. Give your your opponent all he's worth and do the same for you and approach with caution and work with the flow.

You're a meanie. Poor girl is gonna see her hero moaning in the middle of the ring and she'll never watch Pride again.

It just came out like a couple weeks ago. The only bad thing about Pride is that their DVDs are really late because of course they're working out of Japan and the language translations and what not.

No kidding. But actually Critical Countdown that came out a month ago and Total Elimination was released in May. Final Conflict doesn't even come out til next month and I'm getting impatient after seeing Critical Countdown over 3 weeks ago. I guess that doesn't even matter. My bad. I don't know if you can rent Pride anywhere yet. I just went and bought it at Best Buy. It was like $25 but it was well worth the money.
