Correct. And we know that for sure because of the public release of the results. Thats is all I want for Pride. Guys who dont use dont care, the others find a new way to train or find a new job. I would think clean Pride guys would want testing!

I understand what you mean. Like I said though I know nothing about steroids. I've just always been told how horrible they are and that they make guys insane like that guy on "The Program" I watched that movie not too long ago after not seeing it since like 1995 and realized how ridiculous they made it. To get back on track though I don't think that every fighter is a juicer just because they don't test. I would just feel like they aren't natural. Kind of like they are phoney.

i really am beginning to not care about the issue of steroids in MMA. seriously, while steroids can give you strength and mass it can never improve you skills. throw Ronnie Coleman into MMA and all of his 275lbs of Mr Olympia muscle is'nt going to improve his ability to throw a punch or execute a submission. Kevin Randleman seems to get brought up everytime ina steroid related thread just because he has superb conditioning and muscularity. Tim Sylvia on the other hand who tested POSITIVE for steroids and later on admitted to using them is the exact opposite, if he had'nt been caught i don't think anyone would have ever suspected him of it. in my opinion the people who do well in MMA do it without steroids. there is too much to focus on in MMA that it probably won't help you win a belt. bottom line is this, steroids are not going to make a local level MMA fighter into the next Pride Heavyweight champion.

I just wanted to share this pic with you guys of Don Frye. I never realized how roids could make this much of a difference. Here is Don Frye from K1 Romanex which was about a little over 1 year ago
Now here is a current pic of "The Predator"
Now this is in no way supposed to be disrespectful to Don. I just wanted to show how much of a difference they can make to anyone who is like me and didn't realize it. It's crazy.

True. But he isn't really that old, he is 40 now I think, and he was freaking ripped at 39. Don was the man back in the day though.

Captain America is 41, and in better shape than alot of 20 something fighters. Of course he gets tested and eats like a rabbit.

That's not steroids. Might partially be, but even so, steroids don't get rid of fat, and he has obviously gained some within that year. My guess - he hasn't been training.

where on Earth did you get the "recent" picture of Don Frye? it does'nt really even look like him, i can't imagine a guy who was a firefighter letting himself go like that. that and he has since retired, has more than enough money that he does'nt have to fight anymore. so why is he in the ring? it does'nt add up.

Mh.. That pic does look like Don, but what I don´t understand is, what fight was that? His last fight was against Nakao, at K1 - Dynamite. in Dec. 04.
Here is a pic, and he didn´t look in bad shape..

You also forgot to state that the latter picture of "flabby" Frye was a pro-wrestling event in Japan.

Yes you are right he probably does not train like he used to. But him not taking steroids anymore is why he is not ripped anymore like he used to be. Just look at his old pictures of him in the UFC. He was still in very good shape but he was much smaller but after he left UFC he looked like he nearly doubled in size. Then went from that to this. It just doesn't add up man. After I quit wrestling and working out everyday and became a fat slob in high school I still didn't lose that much muscle mass and get that flabby. I know everyone is different but I'm just saying there is more to him just not training.

Well t owhoever said juice doesnt help you lose fat... wrong, winnstrol and tren have both been held in high regards (especially winny) to helping the loss of body fat. and I take back about randleman juicing cause the more i see him the more astonished i am to his conditioning.
Crashsti- Big Ron is going to the olympia this year at something like 315 pounds ripped, and same for Cutler, those guys are beasts... 300+ at like 4% body fat and only 5'8.

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff. What do you mean? Can you elaborate a bit for me since I have no clue.

i have been actually folowing the Mr. Olympia a little this year. i recently read an article about Ronnie and he was asked if was ever going to try to recapture the body he had when he won his first Olympia? he said that when he won his first Mr. O he weighed 270 and that he tried to get back to that size but when he tried he got sick as a dog and had to give up. the man just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

well he keeps getting bigger b/c most pros cycle some compound all year round or most of the year... after a while their natural testosterone production becomes shut down and they have to stay on to stay healthy which is why ron probably got sick b/c he tried to drop some of his juice but his body couldnt handle the change.
