Default What other fighters think of FEDOR!

Here is what real fighters think of Fedor. A little different than what some keyboard warriors might say. I'll take their word for it. Courtesy of kuso

Fedor is the best pfp fighter in the world
    -Randy Couture, UFC HW Champion

Fedor is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world aside from bj Penn, those 2 are the best fighters in the world.
-Rampage Jackson, #1 contender for UFC LHW title.

    It's FEDOR dude!
    -Eric Pele

    He is the BEST
-Mark Coleman, former UFC HW Champion and Pride GP Champion

the best in the world, no doubt
    -Phil Baroni

Look, I’ve fought many people from around the world, so I’ve seen many strong fighters. But like him, never
    -Renato Sobral

Fedor is on top now, it's hard to beat him now
    -Pedro Rizzo

    NOBODY wants to fight fedor
-Wanderlei Silva, former Pride MW Champion and GP winner

Our great champion, he is the BEST in the world.
-Josh Barnett, former UFC HW Champion and adcc Champion

Fedor has no equals in Sambo or MMA
-Aleksander Mikhailin, 3-time World Judo Champion and Fedor's former training partner

Fedor would be absolutely great in k1
-Ernesto Hoost, 4-time k1 World Champion

Fedor has no weakness! I have seen so many fights, and even the best fighters in the world have a flaw in their game but I have yet to find one in Fedor Emelianenko.
    – Bas Rutten, former king of Pancrese and UFC HW Champion FSN

probably the best ever lived….he’s a living legend right now and I don’t think there’s a man on this planet who can beat him; the man is unreal. Pound for pound the best in the world
    –Diego Sanchez, hooterandgreenway radio show

    Fedor is my favorite
-BJ Penn, former UFC Welterweight Champion and bjj world Champion, NWFS 7/9/06

Fedor is the most incredible fighter you'll ever see
    -Frank Trigg

fedor is pound-for-pound best in the world
    -Shamada (Pride referee)

    Fedor is a machine
    -Don Frye

The best fighter to climb into ANY areana is Emelianenko fedor. He is in his own league and you can't compare nobody.
-Kevin randleman, former UFC HW Champion

Fedor is just too dominant, too good at punching people in the face. The way he punches people man he's trying to kill people, with both hands. He's in a whole different class by himself.
    -Brandon Vera

He is the best and undefeated... His striking game and his ground game is the best, so that's why he is the best... He is the sh*t
    -Mark Hunt, k1 World Champion

-"He’s the total package; looks can be deceiving. He’s incredibly strong, his hips are amazing, probably his best asset. Hard to hold down, hard to do anything with the guy………**** he’s just the best, that’s why he’s the best. He gets in position to throw the big bombs, he throws just as hard on the ground as he does on the feet. That’s why he’s the world Champion.” – Mark Coleman

-"He’s the fastest I’ve ever seen. Much faster than Mirko. And he’s got a great reaction. Technically he may not have such a big advantage, but physically he is the fastest heavy guy in MMA history. He tries a punch, misses it, then immediately shoots again, Cro Cop for example didn’t even see them coming. He must practise that a lot, because it’s not easy to improvise that kind of thing. He is really with a good combination of styles, he can go from one art to the other, that’s what makes him different." – Antonio Rodorigo Nogueira

-"He has a fast eye, good for counter-attacking. And in every fight he shows up with something new under his sleeve. Against Filipovic he used a great clinch-strike combo: he’d go for the uchi-mata, quickly following with a powerful hook." - Pedro Rizzo
    thought this was interesting!

Great find! When you have such a Hall of Fame type MMA list of fighters like that saying what they say about Fedor, that to me is the highest honor a fighter can attain above championships

I hope we really see him in The UFC, not because it's the UFC, but because of the collection of great fighters in HW that could match up with Fedor.

Time will Tell. I hope it happens, for the fans sake.

Wow. My question is is Fedor the type of fighter we will be watching in twenty years, in other words is he a glimps of whats to come, or is Fedor just a freak of nature?
My feeling is that as the sport continues to evolve we will see more fighters of his quality. This may not happen any time soon but I do hope Fedor is an example of whats to come.

I don't think he needs to go to the UFC at all. Fedor could beat up cans for the rest of his career in Bodog and his legacy would still be the same. Fedor doesn't need to prove himself to anybody, if the American fans haven't seen him fight and don't think he isn't the best then that is their problem not his.

I also don't think UFC needs Fedor, they have done a very good job thus far making said American fans not know who Fedor (or any other non UFC fighter) is and could keep doing the same thing if Fedor signed elsewhere.

The only people that need Fedor in the UFC is the fans that have seen him fight. I personally want to see Fedor fighting the best fighters and right now the best HW fighters are with the UFC. Sure outside the UFC Fedor could beat up Josh Barnett a couple of times but then what? Who else is there for him to fight that would pose a serious threat to him? Maybe would could be treated to the much anticipated rematch between Fedor and Zuluzinho!

I def think he is the way fighters will train, all rounded, Sambo, spinning in circles etc. But I think its all in his heart and determination, I don't see him as a physically lucky guy. He's made the best of what he has, and is fit for sure, but there are def better bodies out there. (Probably due to a little chemical help in some cases)

i disagree that fedor doesnt need to come to the USA. to be the best in the world you need to beat the best in the world, and we or he cant prove that fedor is better than guys like Couture without them getting in the ring and doing it. I respect randys opinon that he is the best, but Fedor can still prove alot to himself and the rest of the world by coming to the UFC.

Why fight cans in Bodog? im sure the UFC can give Fedor a financial package as well as Bodog.

HAHA... Well he is Chuck you know. he could KO Fedor faster then he did Babalu. Fedor couldnt even finish Babalu as Chuck did TWICE!

What amazes me most about Fedor is how explosively quick he is at his great size! It is almost like watching a 230lb. lightweight wrg to his quickness. His power is all heavyweight though! The man is a coiled steel spring waiting to explode.

Fedor is the GREATEST MMA fighter the world has ever seen!! He is so well rounded he adapts to any and all styles so easily. Like Frank Trigg says Fedor throws his punches with his hips like boxers do, whether standing or in someones guard.
I truely believe UFC needs Fedor more than Fedor needs UFC. Whether or not the signing issue is just the Sambo thing we don't know, however we do know 1 thing, Dana White is a ruthless business man!!!

The invasion of Pride fighters intergrating into the UFC is making a huge impact. As Rampage showed the skill level is far different than what the UFC fans have seen. I predict all the UFC belts will be taken by former pride fighters. Yes, every division / wieght!!!!

I think that would be a bad night for Coture. And a short one. Fedor strikes on a different level from Coture, and even if Randy could take him down Fedor would just armbar him like he did to Kevin Randleman. I just don't think Randy could hang with Emelianenko.

I don't think it would be quite that easy. There is a big difference in Coleman and Couture--- about 80 I.Q. Points.

Your either saying Coleman is a moron or Couture is a genious, I dont think either is that accurate, as much as I love Captain America, his wit, his alertness and style in the ring, if he went against Fedor well..

Anybody remember Rocky IV Creed vs Drago?? Thats exactly what would happen, Fedor by way of murder in 38 seconds.

It is very interesting to read what fighters think of each other. There seems to be a general consensus that Fedor cannot be defeated. I wonder how Mirko feels about that...

Saying that Fedor would only fight cans in Bodog is quite random. He just fought Matt Lindland, who is hardly a can regardless of what people in FF think of him.

Saying that all the great HWs are in the UFC is inaccurate. They have 5 or 6 top ones, but this sport grows so fast that great fighters can appear anytime, anywhere is the world. That said, it is more likely that Fedor can be challenged by someone whom we do not yet know than by those in the UFC, whom we already assume he would defeat (or has already defeated).
