Default Pride FC event confusion?

I have been a big fan of the UFC since watching UFC 1 on PPV in 93’ but I never really got exposed to Pride until much later in life.
Now that Pride is done, I am trying to go back and watch all of the events in chronological order.
I purchased the Pride legacy DVD sets Vol. 1 – 5 and I just finished watching Pride 9.
While watching Pride 9 they mentioned a Pride Grand Prix event which confused me a bit because they were talking about fights that I had not seen yet!

This got me looking and I now understand that in addition to the main Pride events they also had the Bushido and Grand Prix events.
Can someone please explain the differences between the main Pride events, Grand Prix events and Bushido events?

I don’t want to watch any of the events outside of chronological order so I'm in a holding pattern for now.

Thanks,
SysRq

The grand prix events were tournaments that were held by Pride. Bushido events were kinda used to display up and coming talent, but they usually had a pretty good main event to.

And it was also to showcase 160lb (LW) and 183lb (MW) fighters, as Pride previously only had fights at 205lbs (MW) and over 205lbs (HW).

I also had a problem figuring out the order of Pride Events. They never bothered to number them like the UFC does. They also held so many differant tounaments as well as the Bushido events. It can all be quite confusing.

You can see every Pride event in order (newest at the top) here:

(beware tho, if you click the event name it will tell you the results)
