Coming from an former Mirko fan. Hunt should have won all the way. Mirko was absolutly aweful. He gave up and was walking away. What the hell is that!? Hunt should have won with all three judges on his side.

This amazed me as well... Maybe Mirko is just over being in Pride FC. Mark Hunt is surprising. He has wins over a few great fighters now, and he is only 3-1. He beat Mirko in Shockwave 2005, but he also beat Wanderlei Silva at Shockwave 2004. I am not very familiar with Daniel Bobish, but a friend tells me that he is also fairly good at MMA. Hunts only loss (so far) came from Hidehiko Yoshida. I underestimated Hunt. I hope to see more of this guy in the future...

I am not going to turn my back on Mirko because of this fight. Think about it. He fought Fedor, Barnett and Hunt within a matter of months. That's insane. Mauro said he needs a break and I completely agree. I would think some guys would want to take a year off after fighting Fedor. Mirko fought on the next show. He fought 6 times last year. I don't know if I can respect the guy anymore than I have and it doesn't change from losing to Hunt.

Mirko dose need a break. But he ran from Hunt the entire time. I don't think that a 'break' would have changed that.

I think Hunt is going to frustrate every fighter that he faces. If I were kicking a guy in the head and neck while wearing shoes even and he keeps stalking me asking for more basically. I would be a bit worried and frustrated too. Plus every dog has it's day. NYE was not Mirko's day, it was Hunt's.
