Actually I hope Silva beats the crap out of Baroni. Coleman can stay at home, I wouldnīt want to see him again in Pride. He can do that stuff in the WWE.

It was ridiculous.. what the heck it Coleman on? I hope he came back down in the locker room and realized what the heck he just did. He was in no way at all beating Shogun.. Shogun was putting the locks (triangle/armbar and a heel hook) on him every way possible. What happened was a freak injury and Coleman went nuts first with the brawl and then celebrating like he did something special.

Click here to watch it Judge for yourselves..

And here a spectator filming it with his Cell or Cam from another angle.. you can see how Silva and Coleman are going at it and Baroni tackles Silva. Click here This guy would make the worst camera man in history by the way.

What are you guys talking about? Coleman was just standing there looking at Mauricio when the ref jumped in and the guy in the white shirt jumped up and it looked like he was saying something to Mark. Then everything got out of control. Nobody knows what was said but it seems to have upset Mark. That's not like him to act that way. Baroni is a d bag though. Can't argue that.

First of all, the ref yelled 5 times STOP, and coleman was still trying pound on Rua, and then he tossed the ref to the side trying to go at him...THEN he stood there and looked at him, whatever the guy in the white shirt said to him, Coleman was pumped at going at him. The guy was most likely saying " dude what is wrong with you".. so what the heck is Mark getting upset about? He clearly lost it, and then celebrating like a punk like he did something special.

That happens a lot though where a fighter doesn't know what is going on. Especially in the freak injury case. Mirko did the same thing to Barnett he landed a bunch of punches after Josh tapped out several times. It's like they don't know what's going on since they didn't do anything to finish the fight. I'm not arguing that Mark deserves to celebrate for that but I'm just saying he was just standing there looking at him. Doesn't seem too malicious to have someone come after you. An article on Sherdog said it was Wanderlei came after Mark, Baroni came after Wanderlei to stop him. All he did was take him down. It was just chaos and we can't really say who's to blame and say this and that about any of them because it looks too crazy to figure out. It all just seems like heat of the moment stuff and emotions were running wild.

Look at how he tosses the ref to the side. That is the craziest part of it. Whatever happened afterwards ok, it was in the heat of the moment. But when the ref tells you to stop, and you still drop a couple like Mirko did, I can understand it.. but to throw the ref aside is insane.

It's not like Mark jumped back on top of Shogun and started pounding him. It didn't make matters any better when Wanderlei came charging in. I think this whole thing is being blown way out of proportion. Scuffles like these happen. It's definitely not a good thing, but crazy stuff happens in the heat of the moment.

One could speculate that he juiced himself up so much for the possibly last fight of his career, that he lost it in a key moment situation.

And one could speculate that it had nothing to do with steroids and this sort of thing just happens sometimes when there is a lot riding on a fight. This fight meant everything to Mark. Even though he didn't "prove anything" as you say, the fact remains that winning this fight probably got him a spot in the upcoming Grand Prix. That means another meal check for Mark and his family, and at this point in his career, I would speculate that it means a lot to him.

Well one can speculate all day then.. what happened is that Coleman lost it, Shogunīs elbow is jacked and Phil is going to get killed if he and Silva fight each other in the OWPG. At least thatīs one positive effect.. we gonna get a good brawl out of this.. as for Coleman,he should take the meal check, go home and look for another way to make money.

Anyway itīs 1.13 a.m. here.. gonna get a good night sleep.. and canīt wait to hear some interviews in the next view days..

I wouldn't get your hopes up to see Baroni vs Silva in the GP. I suppose its a possibility, but I just can't see Phil signing the dotted line for that fight.

Mark was the lightest he's ever been for this fight IIRC...

Coleman doesn't hit Shogun after the ref yells stop, not once.

The trainer gets up after Coleman has stopped and says something to Coleman, that's when Coleman flipped.

He has reason to celebrate, he just beat the arguably #1 205 pound fighter in the world. In a quick finish nonetheless, after a short back and forth war.

http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=4028

Explains well.

Quote:
Backstage in his post-fight interview, Coleman stated that the whole melee happened in the heat of the moment and that he didn’t blame the Chute Boxe team for coming in and backing their fighter. He then added that similar to Chute Boxe, Hammer House is also like a family, and thanked Baroni for coming in and watching his back.

Default shogun *spoiler*

I saw a thread at sherdog where a guy said he watched the coleman rua fight with 3 paramedics, and the paramedics said that shogun's arm is a career ender and the cartilage is to severely damages to be able to fight ever again.

If thats true i would probably cry, shogun is the best fighter in the world right now, that loss means nothing it was a freak accident.

I put some points on Coleman just cause of the odds. Damn I hope Shogun can come back and fight.

Oh please, have you people ever competed at anything? You plan, train, live for the event for months, get all hyped up and excited. It ends in an instant and you can't just turn off all that excitement and adrenaline. Thats just sports! Can you imagine then the same prep for a fight? How do you turn off the desire to harm someone when you don't even know that they are hurt or quit? Testosterone does that, natural or injected, so either way most of us would do the same thing.
