is it just me being english or can anyone else see that thompson is becoming someone to look out for in pride he is a powerfull piece of machinery in my opinion and i hope he does well in this up coming open weight grand prix.

The guys a beast. The few fights Ive seen of his he has had some issues with blocking, he seems content to just swing without thinking about protecting himself at all. Id like to see him face someone a bit more challenging then Sentoryu or Giant Silva tho. He's apparently a really sound guy as well.

He fought with Alexander Emelienko and was knocked out in like 28 secs. It was a sloppy knock out because Thompson rushed in and threw hay-makers. Man.. he has the size and height but, that boy has to striking skills. He swings wild like a kid. He just needs more training. That's all.

Yeah Ive heard him talk about that fight in interviews. He was saying it was his first time in Pride and how he was overwhelmed by it all. Hopefully now he's got some more experience over in Japan he'll be ready to face tougher competition.

Im glad he lost but thats not enough..

I want to see him die i cant stand his voice and he looks like he does steroids

in Thompson's fight with Emelienenko Thompson came out all wild and intense. he had that crazed look in his eyes while in his corner before the opening bell. he looked like a killer. Meanwhile Aleksander looked like he just rolled out of bed, he looked unexcited and even yawned at one point. James lost easily, it just proves that it pays to be focused and in control.

Did any of you even watch his last fight??? He didn't rush in, he was calm and collected, his technique was was better. Fujita ate A LOT of shots to the head. One of you said that he had a chin of wet paper. HA...he took a lot of shots to the chin against Fujita and withstood a lot of them. Thompson has come a long way since his fight with Emilienenko (which I might also add was his first fight in Pride). Get off his back you haters, cuz James Thompson will be in better shape the next time he fights so don't look for him to gas like he did against Fujita.

he was very honest and humble in his interviews - yes he would have liked to have won the fight,but james seems to want to give a good account of himself and entertain the audience !!

which he did, nice one JT , gonna have a few more wars me thinks !!
