did u guys see the coleman after show press conference, what a contrast between the like of Chuck Liddell or Rich Franklin, Coleman sounds stupid and like someone has their hand up his ass controlling what he says. My god if the fight hadnt finished in such a sad way Shogun would have flattend him.
In a sport were the organisers aim to make it as mainstream as possible, the likes of what happened in that ring cant be good for the sport. Where did the respect go?

Respect? Where was Wandy's respect and sportsmanship jumping into the ring and hitting Coleman? You know Wandy screwed up when even Bas Rutten expressed his distaste with Wandy's actions. So, What? You've never been pissed off and rambled on and on ,a little bit, in your anger? Coleman was furious when that happenend, and rightfully so. However, at the press conference, later on, when Coleman had a chance to calm down, he was totally cool and down played it all.

if we look at your point that coleman lost his cool in the interview, fair enough, didnt silva do the same thing? i was reffereing to how stupid coleman looked in the press conference. Im not saying either of them are right it shouldnt have happend aeither way. Coleman was in the zone but watch the tape, he threw the referee away to get at Shogun. he had a point to prove but you do that inside the bell not after the mach. Although i dont agree they should have came to blows, you cant help but feel for the chutebox team, coleman was a disgrace, he lost the plot and tried to get at shogun when he had a broken arm . to top that off he then tried to fight his brother when he jumped in to stop him, of course silva lost it, it is his friend. To start a fight however in the ring after the event being broadcast over the world does the sport no favours. I like tension and controvsy like the rest of the fans but if it was a fair fight fair enough, the man on the ground with the broken arm never once lost his cool. Coleman was lucky and played it off to show what a big man he is and what an excellent comeback it was (not)

his trying to get at Shogun was just a "heat of the moment" thing. When he realized what was going on, he stopped. He stopped long before they ever entered the ring, so there was time for them to stop their actions. They f*&*ed up. Coleman would've won the fight eventually anyway. He was ahead on the cards, and no, failed submissions attempts don't count for Shogun. Wandy's going to be in for a world of hurt if him and Coleman ever get together. Tito dominated Wandy, and Mark Coleman's a heck of a lot better wrestler than Tito ever was.

you must be joking me. Coleman? he is 42, not exactly a Randy Couture. lets get this right Shogun is 24, fitter, more versed in submissions and striking, sure coleman can take people down, but his Gnp will be limited due to his lack of cardio. he was in better shape but still no where near any decent fighter in his weight class. Comapred to Tito he lacks in Cardio which funds how long he can use his primary strength GnP. if the the fight only lsted 49 secs so points insnt an issue now is it. now on the subject of Silva vs Coleman you must be having a joke. Silva is one of the greatest fighter in the world, ranked unofficially 2nd in LW weight class in the world. You are seriously telling me silva would get crushed by coleman?
i personally cant see it ever happening, is national pride getting in the way of you judgement? please someone offer your opinions on this for me

National Pride has nothing to do with it at all. Mark Coleman's a heck of a lot better on the ground than Tito Ortiz is my point and Tito Ortiz sanded Silva. Coleman would've beat Shogun broken arm or not...and he'd do the same to Silva; especially if he came down to light heavy. He'd be a huge light heavy and his cardio minus those extra 20-25 pounds would be awesome.

Coleman vs Silva
Hey guys, new to the site, it's great!
Anyways, I have to disagree with the fact that Coleman would hand it to Silva. Did you see him last year against Mirko?? Coleman was winded after a couple of shoots, I don't think cardio is in his game anymore. It would be a great fight to watch, anyone can land a lucky punch!!

Mirko Cro Cop and Wanderlei Silva are two totally different creatures. Mirko's got long distance, dangerous roundhouses to the head and body. Silva doesn't typically fight like that. He uses more leg kicks, hand strikes and knees; which are shorter ranged and put Coleman closer to him for the quick pounce. I think Coleman would get it to the ground and it'd be a long night for Wandy. Mark's gassing would be the only thing, sometimes he shows up in great cardio shape, sometimes he doesn't. I'm not going to say Wandy can't beat him, because he's a heck of a fighter, but I just think this match-up works to Coleman's advantage.

LOL...that'd be a'ight. I don't know if I'd call Coleman my boy or not. I do like him and all, but I think he was in the right with the thing with Wandy.

I don't think he's the best out there, but I also think he doesn't get the respect he deserves. He's not my favorite, but I do like him. As far as going with Couture, I try to evaluate match-ups with as little bias as possible and be objective. I think Randy Couture's a better rounded fighter and a better conditioned one.
