This will probably be the best show Pride has put on in a while with all of its superstars participating. They really need this first show to do well to make sure they have a foothold in the US and help expand their fanbase here. This may arguably be one of the best mma events this year.

I thought Baroni and Coleman were both headed to the UFC. Or was it just Coleman? Anyway, it said that the card was subject to change or whatever. They list a lot of their popular fighters as "Possible participants" so they may not even be on the card at all. It seems like a fishing lure to get people in the US interested. I will be quite put off, if Mirko and Fedor are not on this card.

Yes and No. One of my buddies use to bounce with Mike Swick and is still good friends with him. He can get us free tickets and I want to go out and support him. I really want to see Fedor fight though.

I heard it was gonna be UFC style rules with a Pride style ring.I don't really have any credible sources, however,I can't see the Nevada State Athletic Commission allowing soccer kicks and stomps. So I feel it will be very close,if not identical, to UFC rules.

damn being at the Thomas Mack center means they will only be fighting in front of a crowd roughly 1/3 of what they are used to seeing, quite a culture shock.

They will almost have to be very close. The state sets the rules anyway, and they have to stay within those rules.

Thatīs true, but if they organize it right, it can get a Boxing type atmosphere, which is ok with me.

Coleman said he was gonna fight in the States next.. but not sure for who.. that he would like to come back to the UFC. But he also said that he likes Pride and they have been real good to him.. I'm just glad to see him in the states.. and just to fight..

On the note of the event.. no way will I be able to go to it.. but... deffently want to see it in some way-shape or form..

Coleman, Baroni and Fujita are all going to be fighting at upcoming UFC events, but it's just more of the talent sharing that's bringing us Liddell-Silva. They're remaining under contract with Pride.

This event should be good regardless, but it's kind of lame that they're selling tickets with a list of "possible" fighters, and the list is almost all of the biggest names in Pride. Since the NSAC will enforce testing and different rules, the final card might not be as impressive as people hope.

But whatever -- I'm excited about Pride coming to the U.S.
