heres one for all the diaz haters
give it up for the boy. he was nearly koed a couple minutes in, then made a terrific comeback ripping the win from a winded gomi. prides elite in the weight class put in check by a ufc reject.
dana should be kicking himself in the azzz right now.
go diaz
although i must say i was disappointed when diaz gave the double barrels to the cam on the way into the ring. i thought he was growing up in the interviews in his last two ufc fights.

I'm with you clubber, Diaz definitely deserves respect for this win. I am a big fan of his and he showed true grit and demonstrated his very well rounded game, way to go Nick !!

he didn't seem "intoxicated" until after about 20-30 of those light strikes diaz was landing. they didn't look like they had a lot behind them but it seems they took some kind of toll.

Diaz looked really good. Once he said he's so successful vs Japanese fighters because their short arms. Well, it showed tonight.
Diaz's boxing was through the roof and his complex almost never dont in MMA submission was insane.
VERY good work by Nick. He's got a bright future with Pride. Can't say as much for Pride as an organization though. Especially since alot of their top guys got smoked tonight.
A good night for ex UFC and American fighters.
Good event too.

Pride fighters got beat by OTHER PRIDE FIGHTERS. Whatever trouble Pride may be in, the results of last night's fights didn't do them any harm. It's not like the organization got attacked by an invasion force -- the guys who kicked ass and won their fights are under contract with Pride, and upsets just make for exciting rematches.

I think your wrong. If Cro Cop would beat anyone in the UFC i would consider it a win for pride and the same goes for diaz winning a fight in pride, the ufc would get props for it.

Or the UFC looks like fools for letting him(Diaz) go and Pride looks good for picking him up. Vice versa for Mirko and the UFC. I'm with Sitnspin. All it was was an awesome event on American soil. Upsets happen. Frankie Edgar and Joe Lauzon are two recent UFC upset winners.

Thatīs ridiculous.. but according to that logic, Pride is the winner.
Anderson Silva - Ex-Pride now UFC Champion.
Mirko CroCop - Ex-Pride soon UFC Champion.
Rampage - Ex-Pride possible soon to be UFC champion (specially since he is in his 20īs and Chuck will retire soon).
Which Ex-UFC fighter is champion in Pride? Henderson? Please, he was in ONE UFC event. Has been fighting in Japan for 9 years already.
You guys really need to stop this stupid UFC vs Pride junk, itīs getting old. I pray to the lord that at least ONE thread concentrates on the fighters and not the promotions. People are not stopping at any heights to make themselves looks stupid I see. Now the word is, Pride fighters are getting beat by ex-ufc and "americans". Well, those ex-ufc fighters and "americans" are all under contract with Pride!!! So is Pride beating itself now? Idiotic comments that can come only from Sherdog rejects. With comments like that, one doesnīt have to wonder why Sherdog doesnīt even want some of you (I donīt mean you Milkme).
