Highest Scoring College Football Game Ever
Boise St. wins it in FOUR overtimes, 69-67, when the Nevada QB was shoestring tackled from behind while attempting the mandatory 2 point conversion in the FOURTH OT!! This game was one more Freaking Amazing offensive show!!
Catch it on replay as I am sure they will rerun this game. Whew!!!
ESPN - Nevada Wolf Pack vs. Boise State Broncos Box Score, October 14 2007 - NCAA College Football confId=80
Nevada's redshirt freshman QB Colin Kaepernick ran for 177 yards and passed for 243 more. That's 450 yards of offense from ONE guy!! Nevada had 639 yards from the LoS, and added 144 yds. more on 6 kick returns.
Boise St. had 627 yards from the LoS, and added 160 more on 8 kick returns. Ian Johnson had 205 yards on 28 carries, and Taylor Tharp was 26/35 for 320 yards passing. Un-Freaking-Believable!!

I had to change the channel every couple plays because of the Smurf Turf. Man, I cant stand looking at it.
Good game, but I still think the game of the week was LSU vs Kentucky.

Agree 100%. For the fact that it changes the bowl landscape and LSU had handled quality teams in VA Tech and Florida and South Carolina. Woodson is tailor-made for the NFL.

This was definitely a great game, but it really lacked the meaning that the LSU-Kentucky game had.
I think it was apparent that LSU was the better team, but Kentucky was playing hard. Both teams were. Kentucky just didnt give up.
You now have 3 very good SEC teams who have played each other once.
LSU beat USC. USC beat Kentucky. Kentucky beat LSU.
How in the world can you rank them??

I hear ya CB. Rankings are exceptionally tough in College Football. I rhea-heally want to see Div. 1 go to a Playoff System. Won't happen though. Too much money to deeply entrenched to allow change.
FWIW, ESPN totally effed up the replay of the Boise St. Nevada game last night. Started in the third quarter, and had about an hour and twenty minutes of commercials in a 2 hour show. It was effing pathetic!!
