Wastedbutch,

I was using your quote as a point of everyone who is talking about them running up the score. Every year the story that gets a lot of play is the last undefeated team. Now, not only do we have a unbeaten team, we have a mind boggling great team, and the media and other people do nothing but complain about them running up the score...EVERY WEEK!!!

After every blowout win on ESPN there is this conversation--"Are the Patriots running it up?" Let's ask the same experts we have asked this question for the last 5 weeks(sans the Indy game) and see if we get a different answer this week!

And this is the pros, why do the Pats have to take it easy on other teams! I say put up 80 if you can! I hate the "running up the score" argument in ANY sport, play hard the enitre game no matter what.

But do you think classy coaches such as Tony Dungy or Jeff Fischer or Mike Shanahan or Joe Gibbs would ever do something like that. No, they wouldnt b/c they are classy. I watch every pats game on tv b/c they are fun to watch.and if they win the S.B. they will go down in history as one of the greatest teams of all time.
It's a professional sport. If you can't handle taking a licking, then you shouldn't be out there. Seriously if they don't like it, then stop it! I don't see how the patriots are not classy how the take every game seriously and rarely talk trash. They usually come off as arrogant because they drop heat on teams ands the other team needs something to bitch about. *Cough, LT last year, cough.* They will go undefeated this year and it will be awesome. The only two teams that will put up a fight left are the Steelers and the Giants. And who is going to beat us in the playoffs. Colts? No. Super bowl? Cowboys, not even. So good to be a pats fan and nothing anyone says will stop them from the continuing of the heat dropping.

PHilly has a pass rush. BUt I wouldnt put points on Philly if you paid me.

Although they did put up 52 points once this year.

Ya never know. NFC east teams love to rush the passer do or die. So it might be more interesting than we think this Sunday.

But I wouldnt hold my breath.

The pass rush just opens up recievers for Brady to throw to. Not to mention the pats O line is ridiculous.

I don't care how many sacks NY has, they arent going to be the ones to stop the Pats.

Brady is in the NFL for cryin out loud. Hes been hit before and he will be hit again and again. Its not like he doesn't know what its like. All it will do is piss him off and he will start picking apart the secondary.

Pats perfect season is en route to 2008, more power to 'em.

And as for running up the score???? Who wouldn't, its profesional ball. All these others saying they wouldn't are just saying it because the cant. Period Blank........

I dont know. The Colts pass rush isnt exactly legendary and they threw him nutty for 3 quarters.

Then again, he did manage to win the game.

So there, you might have a great point.

Obv he has been hit. And look what it does? It rattles him so he plays ****ty. Lucky for him he got his act together and Colts ended up ****ting there pants. ANd if it isnt gonna be the Giants, then its no one.

Except for maybe Miami. And you may even think im joking, but for some reason Miami always beats the undefeated teams. Even if they havent one lol

I say either pittsburgh or the dolphins beat them. The dolphins just because they always seem to beat them at least once.

I asked that their be a bet on this about five weeks ago because I thought they were going to get it done. Oh well. If I thought so then I definitely think so now.

What your saying only makes sense if the Giants blitz. If you are talking about just a regular 4 man pass rush, then you are not making much sense. The Giants front 4 usually bring pretty good pressure. If they can get after Brady, it will force him to throw before he wants to, resulting in lower quality of play. The Giants front 4 usually rush in various stunts, so unless Brady gets out of the pocket, there will be no clear lines in between the hash marks. Now, like I said earlier in this thread the Patriots will win this game if they play their starters like they have all season long. However, if the coaches decide not to risk their starters, then this game will be difficult for the Patriots because the Giants may need this win for a potential division championship or a favorable wild card spot.
If anyone knocks off the Patriots it will be the Giants because the Patriots coaches decided to rest players. Other then that, or significant injury, the Patriots will be undefeated. As for the Steelers...they only would have a chance if they were home. Their road record is not impressive.

Thats true if their starting O line is in against the Giants I don't think the pass rush will make a substantial difference in the outcome of the game. And the coaches will definitely have the starters in, you know they want that record. PATS

I kind of hope that they go undefeated, and then lose their first playoff game lol. Just to see the look on Belichick's face.

Well Philly proved not only are the Patriots beatable, but you can shut Brady and Co. down.

And that's sad considering they lost.

The Patriots look 10 fold more human than they did a week ago

I think that the Patriots will wear themselves out trying to go undefeated. They lost a few players already to injuries. I think that the Eagles beat Moss up a little more than it seemed. By game 16, the Pats may be a much weaker team. By the AFC title game they may be a shell of what we see now. And, it would be a terrible shame for the Packers or the Cowboys to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl after the Patriots went 16-0. LOL. Actually, that is my dream scenario. Nothing would put the Pack or the C-boys high up on the totem pole more than beating an unbeaten Patriots in the big show.

Good job by Philly in that game! Whattaya know - bring the heat on Brady and things change. Easier said than done but it's good to see some team actually rush him rather than let him stand in the pocket for 8-10 seconds.

I just hope Miami beats the Pets this weekend.

Pats don't see the Jags in the regular seaons so I guess you mean if they draw the them in the playoffs?

Control the clock, bring the heat, bring the heat...
