The Giants and the Patriots?
One thing that has become more apparent. The NY Football Giants were the true only team that really made it that they could beat the New England Patriots.
Now Dallas is out of the picture. And I know more than likely Green Bay can really jack my New York Giants up.
I think it's going to be a Giants/Patriots Superbowl.
Only on the Smashmouth of the thing.
I'll give 350k, If Im wrong

I don't think it would be fair to say that because the Patriots could have easily lost to the: Colts, Ravens, Eagles as well as the Giants. All of these teams played the Patriots like they wanted to beat them. As for your prediction, I can definitely see it happening. The Patriots will probably represent the AFC but I would think that GB will beat the Giants next week. A Patriots vs GB Super Bowl is what I'm hoping for, but watching the Patriots beat the Giants again wouldn't be a bad thing either

It's a conundrum Mustang. And you know that.
The one team offensively that can match head to head with the Patriots is gone
The one team that's inconsistent but can play smashmouth defense is still in.
I like the giants. But I dont like the Giants vs GB in GB.......
If the Giants win in GB? I think they'll pull off the whole thing

The Colts could almost match the Patriots on the offensive side of the ball, but it doesn't matter when your defense plays the way it did against the Chargers...Brady would dissect the Colts D if they played like that against them. The Chargers, if they get pressure, can rattle Brady. Not to mention 2 great corners...The Chargers from week 2 are not the Chargers of late. Expect a closer game then that one...assuming a healthy LT and Rivers.
The Giants play D very well, with their front 7, but they need to get healthy in the secondary quick. GB will be a challenge--great on both sides of the ball and I really wouldn't expect the Giants to win their either, although they certainly have a shot. If the Giants and Patriots make it to the big game...19-0

the giants are such an ugly team... but they have my fav NFL player (sam madison) who will hopefully be back... eli is awful at times, but does enough to win... im pulling for them, but they have to stay calm and run the ball in GB to even have a chance

Brett Farve leading a passing attack against a beat up Giants secondary will most likely lead to a GB win. Its also good for us Pats fans that todays game beween Indy and San Diego was such a physical one. Both teams kicked the crap out of each other and that could possibly help us next week. Overall I think the Pats are a bad matchup for the Chargers, especially if we play liek we did last night with a dangerous run game. The Pats D can easily shut down LT and frustrate Rivers as we saw in week two. I would rather play the Chargers than the Colts any day.

Again, I'm more afraid of the Packers and Brett Favre than I am a Superbowl matchup with the Patriots.
The Patriots still havent faced the best pass rush in teh NFL in the Giants.
But, I'm more afraid of Brett Favre as a Giants fan in Green Bay than I am som overrated Tom Brady.
If by some miracle of God's divine grace the Giants beat Green Bay in Green Bay?
I'm less afraid of Brady and Co

Thats a very ignorant statement. I am no way shape or form a Pats fan but to call Brady overrated is ridiculous. Hopefully you were being sarcastic. For example the stat they rattled off Saturday night, since Tom Brady threw that INT in the red zone to champ Bailey over 2 years ago he has thrown 60, 60 red zone touchdown passes without an interception, im 95% sure that is what they said. The guy is a winner pure and simple and this is coming from a die hard Ohio State fan so defending a Michigan Quarterback is not easy for me. He was 26/28 against a very good Jacksonville defense, has never lost at home in the playoffs. These are things GREAT QB's do not overrated one's.

Statistically he's not overrated, but compared to the beast that is Brett Favre?
Brady is a nobody.

It's good that the casual fan is realizing his greatness--is how I would phrase it...he has been a great QB for years now...this season we got to see how good he could be with the best receiving core he ever had...and now there is a new TD record...I wasn't surprised...

I think that Brady is very good. I wouldn't go as far in saying he is the best there ever was though. If it wasn't for his top of the line recievers, (especially Moss this year) I don't think he would seem near as good as he does..... I also really dislike the guy so maybe I'm being bias here.

We have to see his career until retirement to determin where he stands among the best...

That's very true. Remember Kurt Warner had like 3 or 4 outstanding years and seemed like the best thing since sliced bread.
Then the Superman status wore off and I believe will also with Brady.
But everyone likes Brett Favre.
Antonio Pierce (NYG) said it best this week:
"IT was easy getting ready for Dallas because we hate Dallas. It's easy to get pumped up for a team you hold so much animosity towards. I feel we can beat Green Bay. Our only weakness in preparing for them is that we don't hate anyone on Green Bay. How could anyone hate Brett Favre?"
--Antonio Pierce (New York Giants) 1-14-08

The only "good team" in the NFL that the Pats haven't already beaten is GB. i think it's destiny we beat them to complete the saga.
