Describe Your Ball Team
Ok no one knows a basketball team like the native of the city it is in. I watch 99% of ever jazz game. If I'm gone I record it and watch it when I get home. So I know how everyone plays.
Deron Williams (Point Guard)- 23 years old. One of the best in the league. The Jazz picked him over Chris Paul, and I'm glad they did. He fits in perfectly. He is big and fast. He shoots over 50% and has a way underrated crossover. I am pretty sure he has only been playing for 3 years. He schools Paul every time the play each other. I think Chris and Deron are the 2 future guards of the league.
Carlos Boozer (Power Forward)- 26 years old. Amazing forward. Again he is underrated. He is in the top 5 scorers. That is pretty amazing considering most of the best scorers are smaller guys. (Kobe, Lebron, and Iverson) Boozer has a WICKED turn around jump shot. I remember reading a story about his dad making him shoot over a broom all the time. He has a huge arc on his shot from it. He can dunk it pretty good, but he lays it up mostly. His defense is amazing to. He is a power forward, and he almost shut down Yao Ming in the playoffs last year.
Ronnie Brewer (Power Guard)- 23 years old. This kid is probably going to be amazing in a couple years. He is so tall and lanky. He can dunk amazingly good. He can jump so high it's amazing. He also is in the top 10 for steals this season. He is lightning quick and is someone who will only get better.
Andrei Kirilenko (Small Forward)- 27 years old. He has the best defense on the Jazz team. He averages 2.3 blocks a game. He also gets a lot of steals. He isn't the most athletic person on the team, but he has some sick passes good defense, and his offense isn't bad either. He averages 11 points a game so that isn't bad at all.
Mehmet Okur (Center)- 27 years old. This is the only player I would really want to trade from the Jazz. It's not that he isn't good, but that fact that he isn't very big. I love how he can pop 3's like it's nothing though. He is averaging 40% from behind the arc. That is really good especially for a center.
Kyle Korver (Small Forward)- 27 years old. They traded him this season for Gordon Giricek. I love this trade. Kyle is an amazing catch + shoot guy. He is an above 40% 3-points shooter and above 90% free throw shooter. He is mostly known for his 3 pointers, but he has some quick hands and gets a lot of steals.
CJ Miles (Points Guard)- 21 years old. He is so young, and yet he is still doing great in the NBA. He shoots 50% field goals, and 40% threes. He can put it down pretty hard. He is a highlight reel when he gets to the hoop. I have high expectations for this kid.
Paul Millsap (Power Forward)- 23 years old. He is still young, but he is a beast. He was the best rebounder in college, and he carried that trait with him to the NBA. He is so stocky and strong it is hard to box him out. He is a good substitution for when Boozer is sitting.
Matt Harpring (Small Forward)- 31 years old. He is the oldest person on the team, and he isn't even that old. He is probably the hardest working player I have ever seen in the NBA. He is constantly moving and that's the reason he is in the NBA.
There are other players that I didn't mention, but these are the main ones. The thing about the Jazz is there bench is so deep. They aren't a flashy team, but they get the job done. So far in the season they are 50-26 soon to be 51. They are beating the Spurs right now. They are one of the dark horses of the NBA. I expect them to go to the Western Conference Finals. Depending on who they face they could go to the finals. The only team in the East I see presenting much of a problem is Detroit. They can manhandle Boston. Well that's all I have to say except they have had the same coach for 20 years which is the most in any of the three major USA sports.
