Yeah, if you want the national side to succeed, then I understand that position (3 players). I don't care. I want the Premiership to be the best league in the world, my team to be the best team in it (and in Europe).
Obviously going back to the 98-style Englishman-dominated Premiership wouldn't help anyone. England wasn't succeeding back then either. And the lack of foreign stars would slow down the development of the players, cause they wouldn't be playing at the highest level.

if u have 8 quality forgein stars, then the rest of the team will benfit, why buy people like pascal cygan when you can have an english player for the same price who is just as good? i know u dont care but imagine if it was finland the premier league was in, i bet u wouldnt be happy. how did tierry henry get his chance as a youngster? through a team in france, moving to juventus when he was ready then back to monaco finally to arsenal. if this was the same then guys like james miler for example could play for teams liek darlington then go to newcastle and get a regular game training with the likes of alan shearer and scott parker, if u dotn get kept on with the club ur chances to develop are limited in a lower league.

i agree with you nimmy, and this is one of the main reasons that i hate arsenal and wenger. if any manager wants to persue a career in ENGLAND then they should be made to play ENGLISH players. the FA has to do something about this and i believe every side should include at least four english players (either on the bench or starting). the premiership doesn't have to be 'englishman-dominated'. it just needs teams like arsenal to start playing at least a few lads who are. being an english team, its odd that this isn't compulsory.
i think that soon something will be done about this, especially after the kind of **** performances that our national team is displaying at the moment.

Goddamnit. I don't believe this. PSV do jack**** the whole game, and then score with a long range effort.
A lot of pressure on us now. If they manage a goal at Emirates, we need 3.
Such a frustrating match.
Real-Bayern was a good one. 3-2 for Real.
Lille 0-1 ManU.
Celtic 0-0 Milan.

Are we happy today Nimmy? 0-0?? Good If it were at San Siro eh? Not bad though! You could sneak a result over there!
Cristiano Ronaldo is the most overrated player i have ever seen. He was rubbish last night! It is an insult to great players when he gets compared to them! I counted 9 times where he just gave the ball away!

i dont think you have watched enough games that ronaldo has been involved in. ye he had a bad game yesterday but he is'nt overrted and he certainly can be compared to great players. he is the highest scoring midfielder in the premiership and will be eligible for FIFA World Player of the Year.

I'm a United fan that held a season ticket for four years! So I have seen enough of Ronaldo! Ferguson should cut him loose end of season while all the hype is around ronaldo. He gives the ball away in the final third, 3 out of four times. Yeah, his little tricks are fun to watch, but there is no end product! Cant believe Hanson and Shearer singing his praises every saturday!

then that makes your comment even stranger. have you watched most of the games this season? seriously, the end product is surely represented in his 15 prem goals? that is a dated arguement that may just have stood last season but definitely not this one. he is great and will be one of the greatest ever.
my best side in 20 years would be;
Schmeichel
Gary Neville
Pallister
Bruce
Irwin
Beckham
Scholes
Keane
Giggs
Rooney
Cantona
i reckon you have a soft spot for united nimmy, lol
