So as the English Premier League 2007-2008 is now underway, who do you think will finish at the top? My predictions:
1) Man U
2) Chelsea
3) Arsenal
4) Liverpool
5) Tottenham

This is one long-ass thread.
OK..lemme join the FF Arsenal Fan Club. (Snow Patrol,Gooner - a giveaway)
Head count = 3 Any more?
From yesterday's match,Liverpool looks impressive with Torres,Newcastle will be a banana-skin with Fat Sam on the helm and Spurs..are just wannabes. Sunderland will be the most interesting team to watch..my hatred for Keane seems to mellow..
Arsenal to play in a few minutes..all the best!

ManU lost the derby and have now dropped 7 points in the first 3 matches.
This would be pure awesomeness if only Jens wouldn't have let in another howler for us.
To be fair, we played like crap and didn't deserve a win. Friedel gifted us our goal.
Improvement is needed, and I really hope Gallas isn't injured badly.

I hope those two recent errors from Jens are not a trend for his performances this season... i.e. I hope his level hasn't dropped due to his age.

Bumped.
RvP is on fire-uh!
That free kick was vicious.
We should have gone 3-0 up (BS offside-call), but Sunderland equalising to 2-2 made it more entertaining in the end.
Now we'll get the international break and our injured boys should all come back. Looking good.
Seeing Spurs (and Chelski) suck as bad as they do, is amusing.
I think it'll be either us or ManUre for the title.

Arsenal are from London. North London to be specific, as are their sucky rivals, Tottenham.
There are loads of footy teams in London.
5 Premiership teams at the moment: Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Tottenham and Fulham.

Man United fan here and they are now doing pretty well this season. I dont think Liverpool has the consistancy to win, Chelsea have lost Jose so I dont think they will win, its between Arsenal and Man U in my opinion and its off to be close, hopefully Man U will come out on top

I also change my pre season predictions. Arsenal and Man U going for top spot, Liverpool and Chelsea fighting for 3rd and Man City, Aston Villa and Everton going for 5th.

Arsenal have really impressed me this season. In a way I'm glad because the old school Premiership is back. United-Aresnal battling for top spot was always good. Chelsea never deserved to be winning like they were IMO. They were bought their success.
Abramovich might have really ****ed things up. If he left the football to the people who knew what they were doing they wouldn't be underachieving ATM, and they wouldn't have wasted a fortune on Sheva. However it's too early to tell whether the loss of Jose will hav a long-term effect on Chelsea. My guess is that with the strength of their squad they will battle back to get a third or second place finish.
Oh ye..and Man U are gonna win EVERYTHING!

After Finland's hopes of getting into Euro 2008 were dealt a big blow this past weekend (we were robbed of a totally legitimate goal too, damnit... 0-0 in Belgium)... at least I can take comfort in the fact that England probably won't get there either.
A draw away to Russia would have been enough for them and they had the lead for a long time. Russia took control in the second half though, and scored with a (dubious) penalty and a rebound effort 4 minutes later.
Wow.

Ye Russia got lucky and MaClaren isn't upto the task anyway. Bring the special one i reckon. Why would you take comfort in the fact England prob won't make it?

Liverpool 1 Arsenal 1
Conceded a lame ass goal..no fault of Almunia. Poor start to the 1st half but we shld have buried them in the 2nd. We are very much superior in the 2nd. But a draw at Anfield..seems alright.
Next game: Man Utd
*picks fight wif Man u fan..

Oh man, I can't wait for tomorrow.
I know it'll take a few days off my life again (unless we score like 4 in the first ten minutes), but who cares.
Flamini completely screwed up when Liverpool scored.
Should have just stayed in the wall. Again, we got a draw at Anfield when he should have won. But I was happy with the point.
Cesc and Hleb are on fire. Hleb is really not getting the praise he deserves imo. His control and nerves are awesome, and then he can just slip that decisive pass out of nowhere.
If ManU come and really play tomorrow, instead of backing up and kicking everything that moves (I think they might, now that their confidence is high),we have a good shot of winning.
Cesc should be the mastermind behind the 3 points, of course. That guy is so good, and he's really stepped up now that Henry's gone.
I'd be happy with a draw, a win would friggin' rule.
It's been a great season so far, unbeaten in all competitions, the old rivalry is back at the top of the Premiership...
COME ON, YOU GOONERS!!!!

This should be good as always, I'm going with a 2-1 prediction for Arsenal with Fabregas, Adebayor and Ronaldo being the scorers.

GET THE **** IN!!!
TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!
A couple months off my life again, but I'm not complaining.
It's always fun to equalise on injury time.
And coming from behind twice.
I actually thought we missed the chance(s) at the end.
Walcott slipping after the 15th or so attempt, I just buried my head in my hands disgusted. Then I hear the celebration/disappointment around me... ****ing AWESOME.
+Gallas, right choice for captain. "I told you never to give up!" at the end. Quality.
-Almunia looked shaky again. He should have stayed put in the second goal.
Maybe it's time to get Mad Jens back? I don't know tbh.
Also, this grandma is my hero! /Joegan

Hell, I ain't gonna complain either. Would have taken a point away at Emirates before the game, but was pretty gutting the way it ended. Gotta hate the sound of happy Arsenal fan's. That accent mixed with cheers makes me cringe. Not really sure why the Arsenal players were celebrating like they just won a cup: 'YES! WE DREW AT HOME!'......
Quality goal created by Saha and Evra though, then finished by Ronaldo. Not his best match by far but even playin bad he changes games. And our defence was really on form today.
Gonna be an interestin season, reckon we'll take it tho...

Good match, Shame we let you score in the 90th minute. The granny looked like a 80 yr old Anne Robinson with no plaggy surgery. I cant wait til Arsenal come to Old Trafford if thats what we can do at the Emirates. Its off to be a good season, Man U and Arsenal battling for that top spot, Champions league should also be fun without Liverpool there.

C'mon, equalising against anyone in injury time is worthy of celebration.
But especially if it's your biggest rival, who would have overtaken you at the top of the league had there been no equaliser.
It was a brilliant pass from Saha, I have to admit.
I thought Almunia made the finish too easy for MU though.
Yeah, it'll be interesting...
this was interesting too...
Oh, how I love that little fella.

Good find Gooner! Can't believe Rio didn't get booked for that shove especially with the referee right there. Top of the table still so I'm happy.
