Cracker goal from Larsson (former Arsenal player mind you)
Another note, u guys saw what Zidane did during the WC Final, right? Well, recently in my local sports scene..our top national footballer playing for his club went berserk.

Well, there it was. The first (and deserved) defeat for us in the league, and at Boro no less. Horrible performance.
Our 6 point lead is now down to 1 point in the space of two games.
And Chelski's next.
To be fair, we've been without our 3 best midfielders (Cesc, Hleb, Flams) AND our best forward (RvP) for both of those matches. I hope a couple of them will be back for Chelski.

Another poor performance since all of the injuries hit. A Gilberto/Diarra pairing is not creative enough. I would have liked to have seen either of Rosicky/Denilson in the middle to add some creativity. Still top of the table with a huge game next.

In America, soccer is a really popular sport for kids to play...at least it was in New York where I grew up.
Because of baseball, football, hockey, basketball and the 1-0 games, soccer has kind of taken a backseat. There were a few leagues like NASL and MISL in the 80's but it didn't draw enough interest (make enough $) to flourish.

Exactly. Berty-Diarra was the root of all the problems.
And Adebayor really needs to improve his passing.
Without Cesc's and Hleb's cool heads and superb passing we lost the ball stupidly and then ran into the defensive wall way too often (Clichy and Walcott mostly).
Hopefully this slump will be over soon AND ManU would get a couple tough injuries as well.
They'll have problems if they lose Cronaldo, not to mention say, Cronaldo and Rooney.

i was born in manchester, so im a big man u fan. this weeks results were quite good for us with arsenal drawing with newcastle, and liverpool losing to reading.
i think this years race might be the most competitive there has been in years, with the big 4 teams being pretty even and others continuing to stick around such as man city

Shouldn't you be a City-fan if that's the case?
PS. I hate you already. But in a good way.
I look forward to violent e-debates with you in the future.

How Cronaldo totally embarrassed both Funguson and Giggs on saturday.
Remember how outraged SAF was when Cronaldo didn't get the peno against Fulham but was yellow carded instead (and quite rightly so)???

Ferguson: Ronaldo is paying for his reputation, but he is nothing like that now. He is a mature and magnificent footballer and he has been unfairly treated.
The penalty incident is a result of a perceived idea of the referee that Ronaldo dives, there is no question of that.
But in fairness to the referee in this case, the goalkeeper conned the referee. Without question, the goalkeeper got Ronaldo booked. His reaction immediately suggested that Ronaldo had dived, but it was the wrong decision.
Giggs: I think he is paying for his reputation. He did have a reputation [for diving] when he first came over here but that has gone now.
Well, this time MU had a 3-1 lead in injury time. Cronny still feels the need to dive for a penalty. And then doesn't even let Tevez score his hat-trick but goes for it himself... Class all the way.
Honestly, what a grade A cunt.
(I'm so glad Cronaldo is not a fighter )
------------------------------------------
Anyway, looks like we're only getting Flams back for Chelski...
*sigh*
Who's gonna be our creative force? No Cesc, Hleb or RvP. Rosicky better step up.
Our season is going down the gutter right now.

Not quite as funny as losing to Middlesboro...that gave me some serious laughs over the weekend. Lost a £40 accumulator coz of it but I'd much rather that result. And Ronaldo is so cool he can do what he likes.
But you know whats even funnier than that Gooner?

AHAHAHA! Middlesboro! AHAHA! Yesss..
Everybody loses from time to time, but not everybody loses to Southend United
And we are top of the table, are you forgetting? That means Manchester United are second to the mighty Arsenal.

Cronaldo is a disgrace and I'd be embarrassed about having him in my team.
I'm starting to feel that way about Eboue and he's not nearly as bad.
And he's not the star of our team either.
It's not looking good at the mo, but all I know is...
Injury-free Arsenal>injury-free ManU

Our injured quartet returned today, and they weren't that great immediately (RvP was sharp though) which was expected. But the important thing is we beat Chelski and via a goal from Captain Fantastic too.
We should have scored a couple more (and we kinda did) but who cares.
Spurs are gonna get smashed next weekend with Ade and RvP playing up front, and Rosi-Cesc-Flams-Hleb behind them.
I'm jealous 'cause a buddy of mine will get to see that one at the Emirates.

Get outta here!
Arsenal were lucky? How about ManU were lucky, and Chelsea were lucky Arsenal didn't actually score 4 instead of one?
RvP's goal got ruled offside, which was debatable.
Ade's goal also disallowed, which was just wrong.
And the free kick the ref gave to Chelsea at the edge of the box in injury time was straight up ridiculous.
In the end, Chelski came to play for a point and we overcame that.
Cech's blunder helped, but it was definitely a deserved win.
Whereas Liverpool probably would have deserved at least a draw.
