Mcain takes florida, UFC Take a Hit?
John Mcain is now the Republican front runner and Romney may or may not go on to next Tuesday. He has publicly stated his distaste for the UFC and although he has had differring comments since, he has not changed his views. If Mcain were to win the Presidency, would the UFC be affected? I know he wouldnt be able to abolish it, but he could make the process even for difficult for its expansion. The requirements to sanction the sport in new venues and states could become a lot more difficult.
Do you think he could/will affect the business or will it remain as is?
Maybe I am really out there with this one, I don't know.

I'm pretty sure with a war in Iraq, an economy seemingly on the brink, immigration problems, health care, more important conservative social issues, and the constant threat of terror, that the destruction of MMA is at the top of his priority list.
Besides it's sanctioned now, and there has been basically zero deaths in 15 years. So I doubt there will be mass crusades against it like back in the day.

Top priorities for the next few years:
1. stopping gays from ruining marriage - ewwwww!!!!
2. stopping abortions - thou shall give birth to thine crack baby, like it or not. Fetuses matter more than actual human beings imo.
3. stopping human cockfighting or "ultimate fighting" - ewwwww!!!!
All that other stuff can wait.
Some of it is actually pretty useful.
Oops, got a little political there.

I flush millions of "babies" down the toilet every week, I cares about mah convenience.
Can't believe I forgot about flag-burning.
Off to Gitmo for those commies/terrorists.
See, political threads aren't that bad really.
Let's move this to OT and go nuts.

Because Guantánamo Bay is indefensible?
Agreed.
Something to respond to...
Do you agree with this quote:
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
And do you think it applies to what's going on over there?

He said that UFC stuff back in like 1993 when it was all Circus UFC. He's gone multiple times on Record now saying he approves of the sanctioning that the states are requiring for UFC/MMA events and that he appreciates the popularity the sport is garnering.
I'm not afraid of McCain going after The UFC. I'm more afraid of Hillary turning America into another Socialist country. That's when you WILL have to worry about MMA because alot of Socialist country's hate MMA and ban it outright.

Oh Noes Socialism. The worlds 10 best cities to live... are all in 'evil socialist states'.
I don't like Hillary because shes taken money from Chinese human traffickers and calls the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka freedom fighters when they are terrorists who kill young Buddhist children (bombed 12 just today), force monks to have sex with nuns in the street and then shoot them so they are reborn as lower life.. kill monks.. they are ****ing garbage.

Three things.
Romney has so much $ and gets support from talking heads like Limbaugh...I doubt he's going anywhere.
There are too many things going on...the UFC isn't on the radar.
All these candidates have dirt on them.

That too.
Oh, and she said she wants to review the possibility of re-enacting Prohibition.
That alone?
Is a no vote. Lol.

I really like McCain, I sent him a letter concerning the 2nd amendment and he actually replied. He gave a response that fit my beliefs with out me telling my standpoint. He also is a supporter of many things that I believe in. I can't vote for Obama because of the things he voted for as a Senator.
