Default LAPD Defensive Tactics
I've heard of this program down south recently and was directed to this site on Youtube. Wonder what you all think.

SOme may wonder why the officers are always taught palm open strikes. Well, that's because of our DOJ in CA who approves all defensive tactics programs in the state saying you really can't punch or "box" with someone. Everything must be used in what they call

"COntrol Force" or "Force Continuum". Which, unless life threatening, you can't just "Throw Down".

Sucks, but it's an unfortunate reality out here and in many parts of the country.

Strange, I thought the LAPD tactics were to kick and beat suspects with mag-lites until they submit
