Thomas Gerbasi, UFC - You have to wonder what goes through the mind of someone like Karo Parisyan as he watches the welterweight world go round. Set for a shot at then UFC champion Matt Hughes in November of 2005, an injury instead shelved 'The Heat' and his title shot.Since that fall a year and a half ago, the welterweight title has been on the line three times, with two of those bouts producing new champions in the form of Georges St-Pierre and Matt Serra. Parisyan has fought three times as well, defeating Nick Thompson and Drew Fickett while losing a decision to Diego Sanchez in 2006's Fight of The Year.

well i say if he wins his fight at UFC 71, then he should get a shot at after who wins in the fight between Serra and Hughes. I want Hughes to win, so it would look like a better fight for Hughes. Hughes has good slams but i want to see Karo do some Judo throws on Hughes

I love watching Karo fight and still think he is one of the best Welterweights in the world. With this long wait for the title bout, I wouldn't be surprised if Karo wins him fight the winner of Kos/GSP to see who fights for the title.
