Give Cro Cop a redbull or something before a fight. He was just going through the motions with no energy or feeling in any of his moves.

Yeah, poor Mirko. That really sucked. I've always really liked Kongo but have been unimpressed with his ground ability since that fight against Carmelo Marrero.
I was really hoping to see the awesome Crop Cop that everyone loves, but nope.
I don't think the two nut shots helped, but he was already broken before they landed.

I never saw any of his old fights, just heard the hype. He keeps losing, clearly he's either uncomfortable in the UFC, is tired/old needs to retire, or just isn't training the way should/used to. He hasn't done much of anything right.
I'll have to watch his old fights to see what everyones talking about.. all I've seen is a boring bad fighter so far.

I think the KO from GG affected CC's performance tonight.
He hardly threw any kicks and should have kicked more and be more aggressive.
I really hope he comes back strong.

If you look at K1 this would be typical a fight that Cro cop would have problem with. Stiking against a guy with such reach abilletis is not easy.
I was hoping all along that Cro Cop would overcome this, but sometimes youre heros loose. Cro Cop does not look the same anymore.
I hope he will come back strong again.

This comes to show us all that besides training hard, and possessing good techniques, strong mentality plays a big role in mma fighting. Not only Cro Cop, but also look at Rich Franklin, one of my favorite fighters, he's got the talent, the techniques, but mentally, Rich was beaten way before he ever stepped in the cage against Anderson Silva.
Cro Cop is better than what he has shown in his last 2 fights in the UFC I think. But he lost his will, just like Franklin did, and it will show undoubtly in the cage.
Technically wise, Cro Crop is way up high comparing to Kongo. He shouldn't have a slightest obstacle dispatching Kongo.

Head Kick
Has Crocop's signature move become bigger than him? I felt that all he was doing was stalking around the cage looking for the opportunity to throw that (admittedly devasting) left high kick, and yet lost the fight in the meantime. I don't want to take anything away from Kongo, but Crocop just didn't bust out any other weapons and ended up just getting peppered with body kicks and jabs.

He might be looking a lot for it. When he fight good he mix up a lot more.
I belive this might be hard to do on Kongo since he is a good striker. Long time since I seen Cro Cop meeting such a good striker.
He never won any K1 titles wich I belive might be cus of hes sise.
So I been sceptical about this matchup all along since Crop Cop dont really have any ground game.
Cro Cop got a really god left hand wich he usually sets up a lot more before he comes with a left kick. His left kick is supose to com as a suprice

He fought like a man who was scared to have his head kicked off.

Fight went pretty much how I expected it to.
I had a feeling that Cro Cop wouldn't be as aggressive as before, and that his head wouldn't be in the fight. Kongo took advantage of this, and used his improved skills, his reach and strength to win the fight. Cro Cop really needs to get his mind right....I see him up against some lower-level (i.e. cans) for fighters for a little bit until he's able to get his confidence back.
I was really impressed with Kongo's abilities on the ground this time; it's clearly a step up from when he first started out. Managed to control Cro Cop on the ground and pull off a little ground-n-pound. Then during the stand-up exchanges, Kongo did well by pressuring Cro Cop, making him back up a lot, and throwing those hard body kicks. Kongo came with a smart gameplan and improved skills, and showed he's a tough guy in the HW division. Great win man

Fedor said that Cro Cop doesn't come back from loses well. And correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that loss against GG was his worse yet. That need to sacrifice a can to him to lift his motivation, and then we will see the cro cop of old.

That was the worst CC's fight i've ever seen. He didn't do basically anything. Throwed his trademark kick couple of times and missed them. I can't remember him throwing any punches Like he was afraid to get hit or something. No good..

As much as Mirko has said there's no way he would move down to LHW, I think he should now. Maybe the new scene would inspire him to fight again.
