Default Liddell-Jardine

Wow. i am amazed at how this fight came out. i though Chuck would overwhelm Keith, and keith brought it to Chuck and never seemed afraid. im surprised that Chuck never pushed the pace or even connected with Jardine. this fight amazes me and im confused at what the are going to do with Wanderlei, another blown shot at seeing these two fight.
i also lst 10k on the fight.........

Jardine came in with a good game plan. Them kicks was awesome. If they gave that to Chuck that would have been robbery. Im glad they got it right. WarDawg

Chuck had no gameplan and looked like he couldn't adjust to what Jardine was showing him in that first round. He just hung on the outside to get picked off. I think he would have had success had he closed the distance, like Houston did previously, and exchanged with him on the inside. Instead, we got some bone-headed plan to get wiped out. I just don't think Chuck has the training camp like these other guys do. He got WAY out thought and out-coached tonight.

Wow, the first thing I did when I came home tonight from work was check the results on the UFC.com sight, and when I saw the results for this match I thought it was a joke... I mean, I knew Jardine had a chance, but I NEVER expected a win from either fighter via decision... I can't imagine how confusing this fight must've been to watch for everyone seeing Chuck apparently getting out-struck and not being able to land any solid shots on Keith...

Geez, this changes everything at 205 now... The only other sure "top 205 pounder" that hasn't been upset recently is Rampage

Chuck should keep training in clubs until 2am the week before of the fight. Good job, Keith. Damn right!

I think this might be another of the evolutions of MMA - gameplans and tactics will get more and more important, and now you cant just go out with the same tactic every match and expect to win.

seriously he waited on the outside and connected once or twice coming close to him. jardine had confidence from further away and he looked like he was going in retreat when chuck came at him early. as the fight went on jardine gained confidence. i think chuck's gameplan was to knock him out and go home, thinking jardine would just give in. i dont know what his deal is right now.

Well Keith didn't bring it in the first round if you ask me. Now after the knock down...........that is a different story. Keith made a lier out of me.

Go whining all you want. Fetch some napkins. Chuck continues to look awful (and that's 3 in a row - he looked like **** against a scared Ortiz even though he took the win).

Exactly. All the people who say "I don't care what a fighter does on his own time" just don't get it that the two things are inter-related. If you party and hang out a lot, or take pills etc.etc. it will affect how you perform during your fights.

Ahhhhh, earvin, I get tired of people who act like you can dick off in training, get messed up, and there will be no effect in the cage. I get tired of arguing about it. Liddell ain't been the same lately, and the reason is pretty obvious.

I LOVE when this happens. I mean I love it when the UFC matchmakers give one of their top guys a supposed "gimme" fight and their guy loses. I think during every fight like this there should be a live camera on Dana and some of the other higher ups so we can see how many times they say "****!!!" and see the veins throbbing in their foreheads.

Welcome to the brave new world of mma. All your champs are chumps and all your chumps are champs. I can't believe the ufc match makers didn't learn from gsp vs serra upset and imediatly only match up high profile fighter against high profile when they got all their pride tallent. All these upsets are really taking the wind out of the sails for superfights.
Then again it could be argued they are the millionaires and I'm just a bum with an internet connection.

I'm happy for Jardine.

He went in with a good gameplan and it worked for him.

Good job by the Dean of Mean.
