Man this fight was insane. Although Id put my points on Sylvia, I wanted Nog to win so I was gutted when he got dropped in the first round...I really thought Tim was gonna finish it there but as always, Nog pulled through! My friend and I both went mental when he got the guillotine and Tim tapped!
btw, Anyone see how p*ssed off Dana looked afterwards? He didnt look happy at all!

Dana was pissed that Tim didn't win? I thought Dana didn't like Tim as the champ.

No, I didn't see Dana, but it doesn't surprise me either. You could tell in his interviews, on the Countdown, who he was pulling for. I said it either in this thread or somewhere else where I'd rewatched Liddell vs Wandy before this UFC. Joe Rogan made a coment during that match that Joe Silva just passed him a note stating "This a'int Japan." The UFC's bias toward their guys is obvious...I think it's funny. Now two of Pride's guys are at the top of their division...though I hope Chuck regains his belt soon.

I think that it would have been very boring has the PRIDE fighters all been beaten abd driven out of the UFC. That the PRIDE fighters have done reasonable well (with some set-backs) should be enough. And, we don't really know that there is a bias. I think that it is more of a "perceieved bias" by the fans rather than a real bias from the UFC. I don't buy into it.

So the fans just imagined the "This ain't Japan" comment?

Well, a UFC guy that believes in the UFC will say stuff like that. He's not the first as some UFC fighters have also voiced such an opinion (Leben). And, it ain't Japan, LOL. It's the US and the UFC. If anything, the statement blew up in his face when Nogueira won the match.

He has always wanted to see the organizations coolide, and now its happening in a scence.
When I hear of stuff like this I always remember how upset Dana was for bringing Chuck to pride to get beat down by Rampage.
Tim's been around for good while, and whether you like, dislike someone you still establish somewhat of a relationship. I dont think he wants to see anyone come from pride, and be the champ here. IMO

I think that Dana White has been torn between wanting the UFC fighters to be the champions and also wanting the best fighters period as the champions. Sylvia lost to Nog and that means that Nog was the better fighter that night.
