Kongo looks like he's been working on the ground game.

I'm thinking the judges will give it to Kongo but I think Herring should win, that was like a heavyweight version of J-Rock/War Machine, the pace of that fight was a lot quicker though.

No it shouldn't... IMO there should never be a draw.. Makes the fight useless at that point. I could see a argument if its that close it goes to one more round with that round being the decider..

Reguardless it was very close but I think the right decision was made..

I agree, but because I thought Heath won that fight hands down. It shouldn't have even been a split decision...IMO. Go figure though, it was Cecil Peoples. The UFC needs to quit using him. Heath won that fight the last half of each of the last two rounds. He pounded Cheick on the ground.

Damn, both guys looked good tonight. But I was really impressed at how much Kongo has developed. You can tell he still has holes in his ground game, but he looked much improved tonight.

once Kongo works more on his wrestling base while using GnP

look the hell out, ALL he has to do is learn to maintain a solid base while strikign on the ground

Kongo's takedowns were a thing of beauty, but he just couldn't do anything with them. He was making some UGLY, first month of BJJ mistakes on the ground . Good fight, but I'm gutted about my boy Luke

I would have gotten points and 3 points in the prediction contest if Kongo had gotten the decision, but boy, am I glad Herring derailed his title shot ambitions.

And yeah, that chest-thumping motion Kongo does, annoys me.

Excellent fight - in my opinion, it should be fight of the night. How long has it been since we saw a rapid-paced Heavyweight fight that went all 3 rounds and was never really boring (Kongo standing at Herring's feet for 12 seconds before the ref stepped in doesn't count).
