Nate Quarry vs Kalib Starnes
30-24 ouch! Starnes is going to have to beg Joe Silva to come back after this.
LMAO at Quarry's "running man" and the crowd! Quarry's a class act though. Starnes deserved the diss.

Really it should have been more like 30-22. The ref should have started taking points in the second.

Nate Quarry, fighter, comedian, track star? What exactly was Starnes' game plan? I'm not one to discredit any fighter, but this guy should rethink his career choice.

I put almost all of my points on Starnes, and he disappointed again.
But man, Quarry taunting him in the 3rd round was HILARIOUS.
I mean, you've lost the previous rounds, why are you running away?
That was frustrating to watch, but Nate saved it all.

I don't know what it was (or where it's from), but it was awesome.
And Starnes just kept backing up even when he was doing that. LMAO.
And then another Rocky-line in the interview from Nate.
Kudos to him.

I work in TV and I was bawling when the TV director of the event was switching from Starnes to Quarry before the decision and the crowd was following with respective boos and cheers! It's always fun to work the jumbotron!

Let's give credit where credit's due though. Starnes totally disappointed, but did anyone expect Quarry's stand up to be that improved!? I was shocked. He looked relaxed, composed, threw nice combos with bad intentions and brought the fight right to Starnes from the opening bell. Completely different Quarry than we've seen before. Very impressive.

That fight was very disappointing... as was previously mention, Starnes had zero game plan that entire time. The only thing I can give him even a little bit of credit for was taking so many leg kicks and still standing without being wobbly... not that that counts for much, seeing as he never really launched an offensive off of either leg.
But yes, the taunting in R3 was hilarious

Shameful. I have no idea why Starnes ran like that unless he had a HUGE bet that he would not be subbed or ko'd. Whoever said he will have to beg to come back to UFC is right. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he was dropped from UFC tomorrow or Monday at the latest. It was just a shameful display. I told my buds that Kalib didn't look right as he was approaching the Octagon. I knew something was up. Just wish I knew what.

Impressive, yes, but I thought that Florian's comment on transitioning to a high kick would have ended the fight. Quarry had established the low kick so well that Starnes was constantly dropping his hands and only focusing on his own leg.

Baby steps!! 100% improvement from the Sell fight is good enough for me.
Also, it's kinda hard to end a fight when your opponent is unwilling to stand in front of you and it's obvious high kicks weren't part of the gameplan considering Starnes is more of a ground guy. I give more credit to Quarry though being vastly improved than trying to make excuses for Starnes right off the bat, and I put real $$ on Starnes. Completely outclassed.

very true. I just really wanted to see Quarry KO Starnes. Only because of Starnes' performance.

I really still can't tell if Quarry has good stand-up or is it his opponent's just really lack in stand-up? Lets not all forget the Franklin/Quarry fight.
