The view I have of it is Lutter showed up to fight. He was in a position that he nearly could/ should have ended it. He did not pull a Kalib Starnes. He didn't run. Lutter showed up. Why he gassed so bad ??? Maybe his cardio sucks .. His training poor.. ??? But gassing does happen. Look at how many gassed out at Fight night. Alot of folks. Yeah they was at mile high .But some folks still didn't gas... Lutter showed up to fight and TRIED to win. Starnes did not. Theres a difference. Damn, mom just busted me . Got to go....

Lutter is a perfect example of someone with all the talent and little drive. If he added some serious cardio to his game he would be at the level of someone like Lindland.

I'm glad Rich won, but I was not impressed. Rich needs to work on his cardio, he looked pretty tired fighting Lutter.

IM SORRY BUT YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL FIGHTER LUTTER, YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO OTHER THAN TRAIN FOR A FIGHT, GASSING AFTER 3 MINUTES IS OUT OF THE QUESTION.
Sorry, but Lutter and Starnes need not ever show their face in any MMA competition ever again as far as I am concerned.

Well atleast Lutter is right about 1 thing; he is NEVER gonna lose to Silva again b/c there is never gonna be another fight w/ Silva after that performance.....

So are you telling me Rich himself wasn't gassed during the final minutes of the fight?

It`s not like they where fighting in a slow pace you know.
They where going max tempo the whole fight and Franklin threw a lot of KO punches. He looked tired after the match but what did you expect?
I belive many people here don`t relize how tough it is to do a 5 min round of fighting.

I hear what you are saying, but I think that before he fought Anderson Sylva Rich was in much better shape and his cardio was better. All I am just saying that Rich has looked better in other fights.

I see your point, but the up-down pace of this fight would take a toll on any fighter regardless of how good their cardio is w/ the exception of maybe Roger Hureta, LOL. So considering I believe Rich's cardio was good as always; his other fights just were not this fast paced IMO.....

ive always said the same thing, people think his ground game his just muscling out....it never has been he uses solid technique and his gameplan is sweeps and escapes rather than playing guard
lol many people have even said they have never seen franklin on the ground until this fight...i think hes been on the ground every fight except his first with Silva...he just escapes
