Well the fight went exactly how I expected it to, but it was still pretty exciting. Mike looked a lot better and a hell of a lot quicker at 185lbs imo, he also had that pent up aggression before the fight that he hasnt seemed to have since the Sinosic fight.
Was good to see the Canadians give him a good reception too, I guess its just the Americans who felt bad about the Hamill decision!

Bisping looked good and put on a pretty good show. He deserves the win.

i really dont like mccarthy. he talks smack about bisping, and says that his jiu jitsu is the best in the division. is he crazy? 185 is stacked with bjj experts - silva, lutter, almeida, marquardt, lister, franklin etc etc are all better than him. it was pretty bizarre how as soon as the distance closed mccarthy just covered up while bisping hit him. then he went on with those antics which is appauling. he did get a nice takedown though and was fairly close to getting the armbar, but bisping was in a good position to shift his hips round, get his knee in mccarthys face and pull his elbow out. when mccarthy started covering up again i said to everyone he's gonna get his forearm broken if he keeps doing that. and sure enough he did.

I thought Bisping looked like crap at 205, and was actually a bit of a hater. But at 185, he looks damn good. I don't know if he's a title contender or anything, but I like this version of Bisping much, much more than the 205 lb version!

I agree McCarthy was a "sacrificial lamb." That said, Bisping looks like a legit MW, with speed and good overall game. He should have fought Franklin last night, instead of both Rich and himself facing lesser opponents.

I disagree, both for the confedince, and the marketing, it was much better to let both off them get a solid win like they did. It wouldn't be smart for one to eliminate the other at this points, as they both book solid fights, and they both bring it in to the octagon.
I always liked Bisping, but he looked great. I always tought he looked a bit sloppy. And i kinda hated him for steeling that win against Hamill. But he looked really solid. So props to Bisping.

I was extremely impressed with Bisping at 185. Not so much because he destroyed McCarthy but because he just looked like he fit in the division. He did'nt come in all dehydrated and weak. He does need to sharpen up his striking a bit but his sloppiness might have had more to do with McCarthy doing nothing in response. I can see him doing well at 185.
