For Silvia going back at 185, is only to clear the division. And did you see the cut on Irwin

I wouldn't be surprised if Irwin has some orbital socket damage.
And I will never bet against Silva again.

I think Anderson has already cleared out the 185lbs division. It's probably the only division that has been cleared out. Rich Franklin is still the clear #2 and we know what Anderson did to him not once but twice.
I say stay at 205 and fight once a year at 185 to keep the title.

I hope he stays at 205. The match ups there are alot more interesting than anyone at 185.

The referee should have stopped the fight when Irvin was down covering up cause he couldn't defend himself at that point. But Silva should stay at 205and fight there cause there are much larger, powerful guys such as Wandy, Machida (really don't think they will fight though), Soku, Rampage ( when he is clear to fight), Chuck, Vera (if he cuts weight properly, if that is the reason for his performance tonight), and the list can go on.

Yeah I really like Cote but this is just a match-up disaster for Cote.....

Expect some philosofical BS response of why he stands by the comment. This guy will not admit he is wrong and there will be some alternate reason for what happenned other than Silva having hard hitting hands.....

Cote will be done with as about as fast as Irvin was.

After watching Affliction I switched to Spike to watch the Anderson fight.
All I can say to the people who doubt Silva, are there any doubts now??? First there were people saying Franklin, then Henderson, then Irvin...would beat Silva. Give it a rest. Silva and Fedor are genetically gifted. Add hard work and you have two very very very special fighters.
We as fans are freakin' lucky to see them both fight. I just hate the wait before their next fights:-(

NO I refuse to believe that. Cote will lose but he will last longer. I expect Cote to be the first to take Silva into the 3rd round and after Cote is KO'd I will brag about how well he did....

Good lord Yamasaki let Irvin take about 8 too many shots there. He was done after the first right.
I don't think anyone @ 185 or 205 has anything for Silva, that was just amazing. It sure didn't look like he was giving up any size in that fight either cuz if I didn't know better I'd say Silva was the bigger man. He sure hit like it.

Anyone who missed the fight, this was pretty much it:
If they had wanted to give Silva a real test at LHW, they wouldn't have gone with a brawler like Irvin.

Other then Vera/Andy I thought this was a great card, the production style was also better then ever, anyone else notice that?
