Ryan Bader vs Lil Nog spoiler

Round 1 - All Bader. Dumped Nog on his back and landed several hard shots that bounced Nog's head off the canvas.
Round 2 - Little more even, but Bader tipped the balance with takedowns.
Round 3 - Nog edged Bader out in the striking and stuffed most of his takedowns. I'd give it to Nog 10-9 due to Bader's two successful takedowns.
Overall: Both guys need to improve their cardio and THROW MORE KICKS.
Nog needs to be more aggressive. In Round 3 he was tagging Bader over and over, but shouldn't have waited so long to start.
Bader needs to improve his footwork, not just backpedal whenever he gets hit. I also think he should vary up his takedowns. I know he's a wrestler, but everyone and their dog can potentially stuff a "charging straight at you" shot. Adding some trips and judo throws would make him more unpredictable; his opponents know it's gonna hit the ground, but they don't know where.
Good fight overall. Can't wait for Bader/Jones!

earvinarp | Here we go again... Wrestler walks away with a decision when he could have easily dropped the last 2 rounds. Nog pushes the pace, lands more shots, Bader does a harmless take down, which is reversed in seconds. Nog won the second and third. The third was clearly his. Sorry mma scoring bs. I am starting to hate this sport. |
I am not even a lil Nog fan but I agree; I just dont understand the scoring I guess, I felt he lost too Brilz but won this fight, who knows anymore? I believe Bones Jones will pick Bader apart w/ leg kicks and the use of his reach b/4 putting him away whenever it is they fight.....

It would be interesting if the commentators could bring some stats like numbers of punch/kick thrown and landed...number of takedown in the round, counter take down, sub attempts...number of seconds the guy is controlling the other...or "controlling the cage"...
Maybe people would see it more like the judges do

I think it was a fair decision, it was close but I can see Bader's takedown giving him the slight edge.

Takedowns now officially score too many points with the judges.

Nog did nothing throughout the fight. The one time he did catch Bader he just stood there and didn't capitalize on it. For the most part Nog was far too tentative in there being worried about Bader's takedowns. All in all Bader did get takedowns in all rounds, and also seemed to land more strikes.

It was not worse then the Sherk win since Bader lande something now and then but I still thought Nog did more to win it. He was moving forward all the time, that count for something for me. At least as long as Bader don`t land anything.
I would have given it to Mir if it went to decision as well since CroCop did nada in this fight. He never let his hand go and I`m a Crocop fan.

In Bader's own words: “I didn’t want to engage too much,” Bader said. “The good thing about being a wrestler is keeping them guessing and dictating where the fight goes.”

That fight had a draw written all over it, with a slight advantage for Bader, so I guess the decision is ok, but nothing to write home about.

Bader needs some serious cardio work. Loved the ground and pound though by Bader. Little Nog is tough as nails just like Big Nog. Is it me or did every fight go to a decision tonight except CB Dollaway? I think thats a first.
Edit: Oh nevermind, forgot about Mark Hunt..

I didn't mean to be an ass about it btw. I don't think anyone actually gets banned for it around here, mods will change the titles, just something to think about next time you make a results post.

You can see the title from the main page of the forum though.
I guess it was an ok fight. Bader still has a long way to go to get to the top of the division, but he's improving.
