Congrats to Randy, I have gained 1000% more respect for the man, that I already have a ton of respect for. Cro Cop is going to be a tall order, but I can't really can't count Randy out after what I saw earlier tonight. Randy, YOU ARE THE MAN!

I think randy can fight with him for a good round or two but then in the later rounds i dont think randy would be able to keep up.

After watching him throw around an almost 300 pound man who has good td defense, I would not count him out. He wants to be the underdog because that is when he excels. If Randleman can beat Cro Cop then Couture definitely can. Cro Cop will be favored, but if Randy fights that way, the fight will be a toss up.

His mouth was open at the end of the second and he was really sucking air by half way into the third. He had me worried for a bit. He never let up on the pace but going into the fifth I was thinking he might gas out. Randy is the man!!!

If big Tim had actually tried to throw a high kick or two we'd have a better idea of how Randy would do against Cro Cop. Perhaps Tim had two sprained hips or something as he didn't throw a single kick (if he was afraid of being taken down after a kick then he shouldn't have been as he was being taken down at will every other way).
Actually, I don't think Cro Cop's takedown defense is that good so I think Randy has a chance at him for sure if he can watch tape and pick him apart like he did to Sylvia. Probably a coin flip if both fighters are on recent form.

Hey, If any of you guys saw the fight, you would have trouble saying Couture could beat Cro Cop.
Why?
A) Cro Cop is probably one of the best counter striker in the business... Tim Sylvia was so slow and sloppy it was pathetic. Randy would be in huge trouble if he tried the same moves on him.
B)Did you notice how Couture would keep moving his head right and left during the whole fight. Just imagine getting a suprise Leg Kick on the head.. It would be murder.
The thing is, Randy did not get hit in this fight.. But against Cro Cop he will get struck and it will hurt him a lot imo.
p.s. new here.. hi hi ! :sport-smi

Welcome, and I think you are right. Of course Randy will train specifically for Cro Cop, so it could be different, but I suspect Cro Cop will still win.

If the same Randy showes up to fight Crocop that showed up to fight big Tim its gonna be a very bad night for Corcop fans. He totaly dominated Tim on the ground and on the feet.(Like Tim or hate him hes no push over hes beaten every one thats been in front of him except CAPTIN AMERICA)He looked better than ive ever seen him in any of his fights.I think hes gonna retire a champion becouse I dont think any HWs in the UFC is gonna take his belt in the next few fights.

Don't forget as well that Randy has been off for a year. So injury and health wise?
He's 1000%

Randy could beat Cro Cop. However, Randy beat Tim Sylvia...who's been the best of the UFC heavies as of late. That said, I think this proves a lot of peoples' theories about Tim being overrated. He's a good fighter, yes, but he hasn't beaten any dominant all around fighters. Arlovski was probably his biggest wins, but AA's not an elite fighter. Randy will have his hands extremely full with Cro Cop. Cro Cop is one of the world's elite HW's...has a good take down defense...is a much better striker than Tim, and he uses his legs a lot more too. I don't know if anyone else caught it or not, but what Rogan was saying about faking the punch and bringing the kick behind it could spell disaster for Randy against Cro Cop...I'm sure he will pick up on that from watching this fight. Still, I hope Randy wins.

Exactly, I didn't think Randy would do what he did. When he fights Cro Cop, I wouldn't be suprised if Randy knocks him out or just takes him down at will. I am a huge fan of both and I'm leaning towards CC. Lets just say this fight will be worth seeing .

Actually if the same Randy shows up for that fight, Randy would get murdered by Cro Cop.. the fact is, look at how Silva tried to hit Mirko with lightning quick punches and couldn't land a single one.. you mean to tell me that Cro Cop wouldn't be able to avoid the wayyyyy slower attacks of Randy? There is no way in hell Cro Cop would get hit so easily the way Tim did.
If he would try to stand toe to toe with Cro Cop, considering how Randy was moving around avoiding punches, he would probably get hit by many punches.
I'm not saying there is no chance of Randy beating Mirko, but certainly not with the same tactic as he did with Sylvia

Randy has a chance no matter who he is fighting, but his big advantage against Sylvia was being quicker...something that he wont have against Crocop. CC is a bigger and more technical Liddell.

randy looked gassed by the third round ... it wasnt his conditioning that won him that fight, it was his heart.
against crocop ... i dont want either of them to lose. but it could go either way. crocop = 70% fav though.

Randy is as tough of fighter as crocop has ever fought. More rounded than most unless crocop knocks him out quickly hes gonna get tested the same way Tim did. Now im not gonna say Randy will win but it aint gonn be a walk in the park like most think for Crocop.I wouldent be suprised if Randy ko-ed Crocop

In my opinion, Couture exposed holes in Tim's game that don't exist in Mirko's. So while I expect Crocop to win this fight, Couture is capable of anything, so I wouldn't bet my house against him, that's for sure.

Randy had a plan to beat Tim, and it worked. I dont think he has a plan against CroCop, because I don't see any holes in CroCops game. Randy capitalized on Chucks striking style but CroCop does not have such a distinctive striking style, throwing straights and hooks and legs, not to mention CroCop is bigger (and I think a harder striker).
The only real issue with CroCop is he is enexperienced in the clinch, still he had Fedor on top and fended him off, so I dont see Randy being able to take full advantage. And much as I'm impressed by Randy and think he's getting smarter with each fight, his conditioning was not quite up to his previous standard.
But I think Randy could perhaps win a rubber match against CCop.
