Randy is gonna be prepared for Mirko when the time comes and give him a hell of a fight....but Cro Cop will be victorious in the end.

What do you all think the line on Couture/Mirko is going to be?

Both in Vegas and here????

Honestly now.

Mirko a 4-1 favorite. I would have said 8-1 a month ago, but Couture showed he shouldn't be underestimated.

Whatever happens, and itīs probably going to be Mirko winning due to TKO by strikes, itīs going to be one of the biggest fights in the UFC ever. I said it before, buying Mirko was the biggest move the UFC ever made, and itīs going to pay out. I also agree, after watching Randy beat Tim, I give him a bigger chance than before, way bigger, but thatīs going from 5% to 25%. Tim is nowhere the fighter CroCop is.

If the vegas line were 4:1 Mirko as the favourite, then bet on Randy, I'd say its more like 2:1 Randy.
But CC will win (at least this time).

Even though couture is primarly a wrestler, Randleman, an all-american wrestler, KTFO out of cro cop, so it's definitely possible

Anything is possible, but a knock out is highly unlikely. I believe the only way he can win against Mirko is by taking him down and controling the fight on the ground for 5 rounds. However, knowing that Mirkoīs takedown defense is almost second to none, that equation might work out in the first or second round, and thatīs a big IF he can even take him down. The way I see it, Mirko is just too young and too dangerous for Randy. Ten years earlier and I would have said 50/50, even though Randy was fighting like he was ten years younger against Tim. Once again, Mirko is not Tim.

I don't think he can. Mirko is too devastating. I hope Cro Cop doesn't pound Randy too badly

Anyone can beat anyone if the cards are played properly, so I would say yes, but I do not think it is very likely.

I agree that Cro Cop is likely going to defeat Randy one way or another. But as I think everyone agrees, you'd be foolish to bet on Randy losing.

Which is odd. You wouldnt bet on him winning, but you wouldnt bet on him losing either. That's true greatness in a fighter in my opinion.

Of course Randy Couture can win, I'll never put anything past him. However, Silvia isn't half the fighter that CroCop is. CroCop is a better athlete (Tim is a lumbering, slow, and awkward looking), a complete striker (Tim only punches), and has superior takedown defense. I think Mirko takes it by KO in round 2.

Yeah, let's just bump every thread with the name Crocop to tell everyone he lost... that makes sense.

He's not gonna fight Randy next, but they could still meet at some point.

Mirko won't be the number one contender in Randy's last 3 fights. But if he resigns for more fights........

And you know this how?
Let's say he gets Sylvia or AA in his next fight, which is totally plausible.
By winning a fight like that he would already be close to a title shot.

Btw, "resign" and "re-sign" mean two different things.

i guess randy could still fight mirko in the final fight of his contract just to say to the world of mma that he fought him. thats if mirko doesn't lose again, but by the time randys last fight rolls around he's gonna be awfully old . mirko will probably get him then
