Can Couture defeat Mirko?
What are your thoughts guys? After watching his extremely dominating performance, I give him a 25% chance. That was even more impressive than the Liddell 1 victory.

Before this fight I, as was about 90% of the people I have talked to, was saying Randy would never win this fight and if he did it would be some kind of inconclusive finish like a cut. Well Randy sure proved me wrong.
My mind says Randy can't beat Cro Cop but I just can not bring myself to count Randy out, not after that.

Some say Mirko's takedown defense is greater than Liddell's. Who agrees with that statement?
To be honest, I have seen Liddell's TD defense for myself but less of Mirko's, so I'm not sure. Although I do know it's hard to top Liddell's TD defense.
If Mirko does indeed have even better TD defense, that would lower Randy's chances significantly... I am thinking that could be the key to the fight.

Not many people got Tims recovery if he hit CC with that Randy would win.

Very impressive performance by Randy Couture tonight. Good to see him win the HW belt back. As for his future fight with Cro Cop I definatley won't count Randy out. If Randy is able to take Cro Cop down then I think he would have a very good chance at beating him. If he's not able to take him down and the fight stays standing then obviously Cro Cop will have the advantage and Randy will most likely get knocked out. Randy showed some impressive stand-up against Tim tonight, but I still don't think he would be any match to Cro Cop as far as stand-up goes.

One thing about Couture you know. He WILL COME ready. He will get the most similar training partners he can find to mimic Cro Cops style in camp, and you know Randy will come ready!
The guy is a freakin conditioning freak of nature. And anytime you have a guy who prepares the way Randy does?
Yes, he can beat even a Cro Cop, which IMO was his plan all along. I think (AND GOD BLESS HIM FOR THIS), Randy came out of retirement because Cro Cop entered The UFC. I think Randy's warrior spirit wants to know himself what a master grappler like himself can do vs. a master kickboxer like Cro Cop.
We'll find out here pretty soon. And I cannot freakin wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
