In that fight, they both lacked heart. But, you are right, in that fight Diego had even less heart than Jos-Ko. They had no snap. No Pop. Just a bunch of crackle. A fight filled with sound and fury that signified nothing. This was a wake up call for Diego Sanchez. But, Jos-Ko has had a few boring fights before and ought to be better at getting out of that broing mode.
Both fighters had the right situation to make a big win. Diego fought a bad fight, which means that Jos-Ko ought to have been able to capitalize and win with a KO or GnP. But, he did not do anything to brag about. Diego had many chances to KO Jos-Ko the way that Josh hung his chin out with his arms down. Diego failed to capitalize.
Maybe unorthodox boxing throws off an orthodox fighter. It seems that a fighter using an unorthodox style can get some interesting wins. Look at Nick Diaz with his high hands and extended arm stuff that he does when he boxes. It throws people off. But, it can get you KO'd as well.
