“I would love to fight Chuck Liddell,” Pride Middleweight and Welterweight Champion Dan Henderson recently told me recently. “That is the fight that would pay me the most and do the most for my career.”
Hendo’s remarks bite back at UFC President Dana White’s claim at the UFC 70 post-fight press conference that, “Dan Henderson doesn’t want to fight Chuck Liddell.” White also remarked that Henderson was intended by Pride management to lose his middleweight championship challenge versus Wanderlei Silva in February.
Henderson knocked Silva flat in the third round with a left hook. After the fight, Henderson told me, “Pride wasn't sure who they were going to have fight Silva. That is when I spoke with Jerry [Millen] (a former Pride vice-president) about pushing for me to fight him.”
A Liddell-Silva showdown had wetted MMA appetites for years and was announced by White for November 2006 at UFC 61 on July 8, 2006. However, no contract had been signed at the time of the announcement and the deal inexplicably fell through. Since then, Silva has ended his last two scraps lights-out on the canvas versus Mirko Filipovic and Dan Henderson.
Since defeating Silva for the Pride Middleweight Championship, Henderson has been the heir to the Pride versus UFC 205-pound controversy.
Neither Dana White nor Chuck Liddell’s agent, Jervis Cole, have responded to requests for comment.
I like Hendo, but I would love to see Chuck knock the kid out.

I would like to see this fight, Hendo, has a very good chance in beating Chuck.
war hendo... hendo can KO chuck IMO and can actually take him down. i dont think hendo is big enough to hold chuck down IMO but it will where the bear swiller down and eventually he will KO him. Hendo round three KO!

If this fight happens (assuming Chuck gets past Rampage) I will bet every single point I have on Chuck. I like Hendo but I do not see him winning this fight at all.
Once again, Hendo is being totally underrated. Of all people Chuck has fought, with the exeption of Randy and Quinton obviously, Hendo has the best chance of beating him.

I agree Hendo has a great shot, I just think that Hendo's style won't cause much problem for Chuck. (and Hendo is not big enough to take Chuck down and keep him there.) Just my opinion. Here's your chance to rag on me. lol
This probley won't happen unless chuck beats Rampage.
Hendo has beaten Carlos Newton, Gilbert Yvel, Big Nog, Babalu, Renzo Gracie, Ninja Rua, Murilo Bustamante(x2), Yuki Kondo, Ryo Chonan, Kazuo Misaki, Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva! Why doesn't he get the respect that he deserves. I dont see anybody in the UFC middleweight that would give him a good fight. I also think he has the right style to beat Chuck. GIVE HENDO SOME REPECT PEOPLE!
he did even fight in the ufc before, or ave you just letterally started watching the sport. He is and always has been a quality fighter and is a winner so id never count him out.

I disagree. The weakness of Chuck's style, or Wand's for that matter is a hard straight right or left while in the pocket. They both throw those looping bombs. Crocop exposed that weakness when he dropped Wand with a straight left. Dan can take a shot, and he won't back away or be intimidated.

He completely has the right style to beat Chuck and any MW in the UFC. He style is pretty good for Anderson Silva and I can picture that being an AMAZING fight. He would beat Rich I think. Hendo vs. Chuck would be a great fight. Hendo has a great chin, a hard hitting right hand an has very, very good wrestling..

I would say maybe the best wrestling in mma.
Dan would get knocked out. I don't believe he will be able to take Chuck to the ground and that spinning back fist **** won't fly with Chuck and he's going to eat a serious punch.

Dan has never been ko´ed before. It´s not like he has a glass chin. Hendo could easily eat some shot and go for the shoot. I´m, not saying Hendo is going to win, all I am saying is, people need to stop underestimating Henderson. His wrestling is better than Chuck´s, maybe even his chin. I wouldn´t be surprised if Chuck knocked him out, just as I wouldn´t be surprised if Henderson took him down all night and GnP´ed him to a decision.

I just can't see Henderson being able to do it after Chuck figured out Randy (who had never been knocked out before him, fighting as a HW).

I am a huge Hendo fan. He's one of my top three fighters. That being said, though, Newton was robbed. Dan should have lost that fight.
I think Dan is a real threat to Chuck. He, like Chuck, has a granite chin and fights with unorthodox but effective stand up. It is hard to train to fight somebody like Dan or Chuck because their styles are hard to mimic. Dan has the advantage in wrestling, which Chuck has found the answer for, and Chuck has the advantage in stand up, but Dan showed against Silva that he is no cream puff either.
It would be a very interesting fight and either guy could win.
