Is the fight card finalized? They definitely need, at least, two higher profile fights in there.

I'm going to UFC 72. But if I was in the states, I would consider boycotting 72.
This would show Dana that we aren't a bunch of pushovers and were promised it free,so expect it free!
I'm not condoning this, but there will always be UFC 72 DVD'S knocking about shortly after the event, which will be a damn site cheaper than $40.
BOYCOTT UFC PPV!!

I think posting the fightcard would have been effective.
So here it is:
Franklin-Okami
Forrest-Hector Ramirez
J. MacDonald-Rory Singer
Guida-Tyson Griffin
Marcus Davis-Jason Tan
Jake O'Brien-Tom Murphy
E. Sanchez-Colin Robinson
Scott "Eyes of a Serial Killer" Smith-Ed "Ginga Ninja" Herman
Dustin Hazelett-Stevie Lynch
Only thing that would save that event even slightly would be the (small) upset in the main event. WAR OKAMI.

The first four fights will be on the main card. Franklin vs Okami is a LOT more interesting than Franklin vs Kampmann. I really want to see Griffin vs Guida, that'll be a war! I'm somewhat interested in Griffin/Ramirez, and I wish Rory Singer would just go away. Throw in a good fight from the undercard and this is still a weak card, but maybe I'll bite.

Franklin vs Okami is a great match, dont get me wrong, but not good enough for me to fork out 40$ for it. Whoever wins that match will prob be #1 contender imo. Agreed about Griffin vs Guida, that has the makings for fight of the night. Rest of the card is just meh. I hope Macdonald annialates singer.

I'm not paying for it (I never do). But that won't stop me from seeing it....
It does look like a decent card though. The four fights on the main card, I will be looking forward to seeing.
And the undercard fights could be just as good. I don't complain about any event until after it happens, because you never know what could happen. Fights that are hyped up for months turn out to be crap, and the ones you least expect to be good happen to be the fights of the night.
So this could turn out to be a good event, we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and get it. I'll probably have some friends over to watch it. I'm not convinced it's worth $40.00 though.

No one said they won't pay for UFC PPV's they said the won't pay for UFC 72. The fighters pay outs are already in their contracts that they have signed so people boycotting a poor event doesn't really make a difference on how they get paid.

"All MMA-fans should pay no matter how crappy cards they throw at us"
That would give the right message to UFC.
What's the opposite?
Small names always mean good fights?
Big names always mean bad fights?
Whatever it is, people wanna see the best go at it.
An average title fight is more intriguing than a "kinda good" undercard fight.
Sure, Tim and Rob next door could probably have a nice brawl, but I ain't paying 40 bucks to see it.

So your saying that because the UFC put a bad card together and people refused to pay it, across the board UFC fighters are going to get paid less?

I like PPV cards that settle titles and sort out contention. This card has a good contender bout, but no title on the line. Since there's no real main event. there should be at least another solid contention fight. I don't see one.
Griffin and Ramirez are coming off losses and neither is a bona fide contender right now. Guida and Griffin are still building up, neither is a contender yet. Singer and McDonald should not be on the main card, period.
